Ma'am after surgery 1 months 15 days over start cycling slow running exercise ankle weight stretching I am now fine back to sports after 6 months I was crying fast
@@chrisadedeji4879 My meniscus is all repaired, however i have developed inflammation so I am currently doing more physio to strength my muscles and knee to see if that would help reduce the inflammation before making any other decisions
I’m due this same procedure soon, and I too am a little nervous, but as I watched it, halfway through it announced “The Recovery Room Post Surgery” and it broke for an advert where a screeching dragon appeared, and for a terrifying millisecond I thought it was Lauren screaming and rearing up out of the bed.
This is really relatable, I'm getting surgery on my knee and never had surgery before, the injury was said to happen to people in their 30s or 40s. At least you can bend your knee, i have to learn to walk again
What kind of surgery did she get? A meniscectomy to trim the torn part or a meniscus repair? She does not mention it in her video, neither this one nor the others 😐. Really interested in this since I am two weeks postmeniscectomy now and I'd like to know cases and outcomes that got this smae treatment.
Thanks so much for posting this, girl! Very informative. I'm actually getting surgery soon, too. I am wondering if you could explain more about what it was like to get put to sleep? This is the part that freaks me out!! Like, what does it feel like? How do they do it? What does it feel like when they put the stuff in, like do you get sleepy or is more like wide awake to instantly out? Could you have stayed awake if you would have tried or is it impossible? Haha. Basically whatever you remember about that part would be helpful. Thanks so much!
hiii! i’m getting this surgery soon too, but i’ve had other surgery’s done before. it’s just like falling asleep, they put a little mask like thing over your mouth(the same thing the dentist uses for laughing gas) and ask you to count back from ten and then you just fall asleep :) hope this helped!!
Well it just depends on the surgery.. if I’m being honest I don’t remember the name of the one that I had. I know that it was to fix my meniscus because it was frayed and not because it was torn, but at least for me the doctors can’t tell the difference through the MRI so they found out when they started the surgery. I had to use crutches for less than a week before I started walking on my own (as a 13 year old competitive cheerleader and swimmer, I was dying to get back to anything), and 2 weeks after surgery I went to the beach for a week without crutches. But, I did remember running into someone who had a meniscus tear and he said that he had been in a brace and crutches for more than 6 months and he was going back to the doctor soon to get a new type of brace that he was going to be in for for another few months. Hopefully you won’t have to deal with that and it will only be about a month before surgery!! Good luck!!💗
