I believe Microsoft is shifting its focus away from Synapse, as it no longer appears to be receiving major updates, and is prioritizing Fabric for data engineering. For someone starting fresh with no prior background, it would be better to pursue certifications like DP-600 or DP-700. Even for those who have already cleared DP-200, focusing on DP-700 would be more relevant since new projects are likely to be developed using Fabric. Synapse will primarily be used only for maintaining or extending existing projects. As other companies are likely to adopt Fabric, DP-203 alone may not be sufficient for data engineering in the current scenario. Fabric knowledge is becoming essential. What do you think?
