Damien has the musical golden touch. This album was absolutely groundbreaking. It might've got easily mixed in with a lot of the Belgian hardcore stuff at the time but you look at how he went with morning again and all the bands that followed in their footsteps. Absolute champion.
+David Ogden Agreed. Was into MORNING AGAIN & CULTURE from the start. I live in Detroit and Mike CTW put out some of their stuff as you know. But yeah, with Good Life recs there were so many metallic hardcore bands and that whole H8000 scene or whatever it was called.
Additionally, Damien's best vocal delivery, at least in my opinion, such as it stands, were in this and the first AFR ep, he never seemed to carry the ferocity thats in these particular deliveries, not even in Hand of hope save the start of the title track.. you always knew if you were there from the start, but listening back, those signature double track vocals were uniquely his, and still, again as i personally see it, have yet to be bettered! Thanks again for posting - reliving my youth! :)
@@jamielozo697I am a NYHC head from back in the scene around '94. Was in a few bands and booked and played many shows. I'm from Alb. Where you from in NY bro?!?
Cant thank you enough for posting this in its entirety, lost the cd eons ago, forgot about it until recently. Morning again, AFR, Bird of Ill Omen, Culture kid through and through.. this still, to my now 34 year old ears, slays :) Thankyou, sincerely X
just curious I was into the Atlanta/Tallahassee scene did you like any of the following Tallahassee bands .....ONE FIFTH, A NEW KIND OF AMERICAN SAINT, or I HAVE DREAMS? and I'm sure you know some of Atlantas finest bands at the time like QUADILIACHA, DAWN OF ORION, BROKEN(DOWNPOUR) , ACT OF FAITH, or PORTRAIT ?

Anyone know the story behind "The Unreleased" album, 1994 full length. Did they switch singers or just hate the sound? That's my favorite one.
