I love how hemmer is just having the time of his life.
You can tell the cast had a blast doing this episode!
"The magic .... of Science, prevails!" 🤣🤣🤣
*prrrrrevails*
Pullox :he’s bluffing!
I love how Hemmer is just going on with the fantasy vibe. I bet he was having the time of his life. Such a hilarious scene. Love Hemmer, hope he gets more episodes.
Bruh 😭🙏. Hemmer will be remembered
Didn't age well 💀
Fuuuck
Hemmer truly is a wizard....of SCIENCE!
Some people will love this episode, some will hate it. And that's a good thing. Changing things up sometimes is how you please as many viewers as possible. As well as keep your cast fresh and motivated.
Well said, very true. Even TOS had its variety in storylines...
Nothing wrong with changing things up from time to time. The cast was obviously having fun hamming it up
oh man you're going to have a good life. ignorance is Bliss!
🤣 Nice touch using the comm and transporter as magic tricks
Clarke's third law at work.
A space fairy tale with this one episode , giving adults their one happily ever after.
This episode is fan service for all the little young’ns that grew up on TOS., with full campiness and acknowledgement to go go era over acting.
Space is cold and, well empty; one would hope our hearts can fit in a story made of fuzzy and warmth.
Hemmer getting into the Larp is just.......perfect......I love him
I wonder how many times they had to redo this scene. I'm pretty sure just about everybody was laughing.
This was a great scene, though I think you left out the piece that kept it from being overdone, when Hemmer turns to M'Benga and says "Too much?"
"Too much? I know." That delivery gives me life :D
@@BritneyLaZonga magic of science!
It was a wonderfully magical scene, I did enjoy the episode very much.
It doesn’t hurt to have a chief engineer with a bit of showmanship
Hemmer best character. I love him so much.
The costumes were excellent.
Hammer's finest moment before his sacrifice in the next episode.
SNW as done it again. this is the best trek ever
The wizard's character name is "Caster"........as a huge rpg nerd.......I have dishonored my people by only getting this now......
As a Greek mythology nerd i got the joke right away.
We don't deserve Hemmer.
The next episode agreed.
"and the engineer was taken from us ...."
extract from the good book of Q....2 pike's log, verse 3
He is a wizard.
Definetivelly, this was the BEST Scene in the episode. BRAVO for Hemmer!!!! A miracle worker
This would have been awesome if the video didn't cut out what Hemmer said next.
They had transport capability anywhere on the ship during the show in the timeline?
Yes, it's just supposed to be reserved for emergencies. It comes up in Ghosts of Illyria and Memento Mori.
O pior episodio ate agora.
I love Star Trek .... this episode ...not so much...Like the end of it all...
funny, this is the type of episode you do in season 10 not season 1 - have they run out of stories to till
Shall I redirect you to TNG's S1E2 : The Naked Now perhaps ?
@@alexandrearrive6199 that's just one of many silly episodes from s1 of TNG
@@philiprussell5083 Yeah it's just the first one that popped to mind. Tbh, even the very first episode with Q's trial is quite goofy for modern standards.
I think you've just run out of things to complain about.
It wasn't the best episode for me but it's just like old star trek, you would always have those ones. Star Trek is a diverse and dynamic Universe full of all kinds of different stories, with a little something for everyone. There are some people who absolutely love this kind of story, and then there are people like me who want to see more Gorn.
stopped 5 minutes into the episode.....better luck next episode
oh no not again. pleas dont do this again. it was bad enuf that u have to do this stupd thing again gont u get it its a tern off.
The worst episode so far.
How can you pick a best scene when all the scenes are Garbage?
CBS has only killed Star Trek for those with connecting dendrites.
Long-time original Trek fan > this is crap! But I do know that certain die-hard fans will think this is amazing!:( Seriously though, with all the budget, talent, effects, time and money invested, this garbage is truly the best they could come up with???
Yes, completely absurd... unlike the very serious "Shore Leave", "I, Mudd", "A Piece of the Action", and of course, "The Trouble With Tribbles".
Even if this episode was subpar of me personally, i`ll say this: any human being not enjoying Hemmer must be dead inside LOL
Yup, cuz I'm secretly also one of the writers of this specific episode!:)
I watched this last evening - I liked how it ended - but clearly paramount insists on inserting woke nonsense as much as possible and that is hard to watch.
the lesbian refernce, the treatment of the white captain in this story, the treatment of the black characters...it's too much sometimes.
thankfully the show has been pretty tame on this subject so far - hopefully this is not the start of ruining a show as was done with Picard and as I understand star trek discovery.
star trek has always been "woke". diversity has always been apart if the show. did you forget ds9 had a same sex kiss?
@@rae3611 I disagree on wokism - diverse..yes..pushing boundaries...sure...
it's the unnecessary nonsense that is hard to take.
small example - in the original series - Uhura is a communications officer...in STSNW it wasn't enough to be that - she had to be a "prodigy"...there is no mention of that in her first intro for Star Trek and of course all the insane skills in this series - sometimes to just solve a problem at the time like all lazy writers today.
it's stupid - I knew it was there in the first episode - but it was smart and done well so it wasn't annoying...unlike the last episode where it became totally over the top.
I'm sure paramount can get their diversity/woke points without taking a 2x4 across our heads with it.
Interesting, I didn't see it that way at all. Honestly it seemed more to me like they used Pike because of the irony of the brave Captain being the cowardly servant and Uhura as the cadet becoming a Queen. The relationship piece would have worked exactly the same no matter the genders of the characters, it was there to emphasize to M'Benga that something was off
@@stars9084 maybe I'm being overly sensitive - but give what I've seen from other recent star trek shows - it appears intentional and deliberate...
we can disagree - I'm sure others see it your way too.
I did really like the ending - good payoff.
@@freeman7296 I've definitely seen it on other recent Trek shows, I just happen to think this one has been doing a good so far with that. And either way you're right, it's perfectly fine if we disagree
OMG just when you thought ‘day of our lives’ Star Trek couldn’t possibly get any worse, it got worse. Had to switch off at the transformation to the fairytale world. Who writes this bubblegum crap. You FAN BOIS have to stand up for yourselves and say NO right now. Otherwise it’s mindless bubblegum for the rest of your life. Grit boys, grit, is what makes for entertaining trek, otherwise you may as well watch ‘days of our lives’ and draw spaceships in crayon around the edge of your tv.
what a crybaby!
If you don't like it then don't watch it, and don't go to UA-cam to find scenes of it to complain.
You must be a riot to do a TOS binge with........
same here
