Don't store the handle inside or use a fork in these non stick pans. If you scratch the Tefal non stick with metal utensils you can damage the coating which can mix with your food.

FYI the Australian specs say only up to 175C in the oven.

I have bought this. My biggest problem is cleaning the handle. You cannot put it in dishwasher. But cleaning it with damp cloth is very tricky. You cannot avoid oil and food getting in this very complex mechanism and you cannot reach every corner by damp cloth.

I bought a Tefal pan at the end of 2019. It was expensive compared to other brands, but I thought it would be of superior quality and would in any case be covered by the 'Lifetime Guarantee'. Now already in July 2020 the pan has gone massively out of shape, and it seems that this is not covered by the 'Lifetime Guarantee'. In my mind, a lifetime guarantee should be just that - a guarantee that guarantees a refund or replacement if anything goes wrong with the pan. I am really not happy with Tefal and will never buy any of their products ever again, I recommend nobody else does either. I could have saved myself quite a lot of money and bought a cheaper pan which would probably have lasted at least as long as the Tefal one did.

That's why I prefer Neoflam since they're the original maker of this kind of set. I bought mine (Midas 8 piece) last 2014 and its still great today.

Another downside is the METAL from the handle attaching to the NONSTICK coat is not a good idea as rips the nonstick off. There needs to be a better attachment for it to not destroy the pans, just by using the handle

If using gas, u need to remove handle when cooking, as the handle will suffer from heat warping or melting part of the handle. Only use the handle when transferring from heat to plate. So be warned!

@@greasy_beefcake don’t bother or be prepared to buy more handles! It’s not safe to be frying without a handle but they won’t cover the warranty! Mine broke whilst I was carrying it across to the table, it went everywhere! Nearly landed on the dog!

We've been using a set of Ingenio since the late 90's. It's always been used on our gas range, and never damaged, or melted a handle.
We normally leave the handles off, as it keeps the stovetop much less cluttered, and hazardous to catch a sleeve, or oven mitt on.
After some familiarity, the handles can be put on, or taken off in about one second, so it's not any trouble.

Can these be used as a permanent replacement for a pot handle? Say that a pot handle breaks and you need a replacement. Could you attach one of these to a pot and not have to worry about it falling off?

Does anyone know what material in the handle that grabs the pot? Is it something soft that doesn't hurt the coating or outside of the pan after lots of use? I really like the system.

I've had the professional range of ingenio that I purchased in Japan 3 years ago and still without any scratches. Handle grabber material is a metal alloy but if you do it properly it doesn't scratch at all.

What you are not doing and demonstrating you are supposed to detach the handle when cooking the food.
Tefal recommend that the handle is taken off whilst you are cooking. The plastic parts on the handle will melt at a high heat.
    This is what Tefal recommend.
