Congrats Tom and sorry for the loss of your family members. Related to the mini, drop those pancake filters and pick up a set of cone KN filters. They flow much much better. Those pancake filters don’t work very well.

Great to have you back. Sorry for you loss. People that occupy a big part of your heart never leave your side. My dad passed 12 years ago. Miss him terribly but feel he is with me all the time. Someone commented about you interior. Your episode on your interior inspired me to go to optimise automotive and get a custom interior for my rebuild. They do absolutely fantastic job. Though I should say that I had the exact same fitting issue in the cards on the rear and had to cut re-glue and refit. I would have sent you a picture of I knew how! What ever happened to you other build? Did you finish it? Best wishes.
It’s good to see your latest video on how the car is coming along. Fully understand that its been a tricky time to work on the content, especially with the sad news regarding your grand parents and the need to undertake work on your new home. We’re all looking forward to the next instalment as and when time allows so that you’re not adding too much stress to yourself. Merry Christmas.
Hey Tom! So sorry for your loss. Happy to see that your 1380 conversion is going smoother than mine. A while back, you mentioned that your indicator and wiper stocks might become merch on your website. Is it still happening? Or if you could post the coordinates of the machine shop you did business with, would be appreciated! Try to enjoy your holidays and keep up the great work!
The car does sound awesome. The interior though is an absolute masterpiece👌🏼. Take time for yourself. People do need some introspective time to consider their choices. Sorry to hear about your grandfather and grandmother 🙏🏽
Thankyou! I’m glad you like the interior as I did put a hell of amount of thought into it and I was worried brown and red wouldn’t go but I love it! Once again Thankyou for dropping a comment 🤘🏻

Sorry dump the twin carbs there nothing trouble, fit a large su carb on a heated inlet manifold that will stop the freezing and they will you will need a 3 branch manifold port match it to the head , fit the largest air filter you can get it, and dump that engine fan fit electric if you don't believe me take it out with the fan off it will fly you will feel the difference it a lot

Trying to settle an engine idling without air filters is never going to work. Crimps should be banned for car electrics you have to solder and shrink sleeve.
It was more to do with setting the mixture, which can't be done with the filters fitted, having the filters removed makes no difference whatsoever as far as adjusting the idle is concerned.
Family always comes first. Sorry to hear about the tough times. Health and well-being are more important than UA-cam. On a lighter note. That car is epic!! Love it. Proper eargasm.

Before I go further and watch this entire episode I just wanted to pause and say I get man. Your personal health is worth more than anything else so if there is a delay/pause in the your UA-cam Channel then that is OK. It has been a few years on since my Grandmother past and every time around Thanksgiving and Christmas I get a bit low in the spirit as she was the center of our entire family and it really isn't the same without her. Just another bump in the road of life. We will get through but sometimes you really do need to take some time out for yourself. Now back to the episode.
Cheers David! And thanks for your support over the past 3-4 years of me doing this. I know you are a long time watcher of Thai channel and it means the world. Sorry about your losses too! I know exactly where you are coming from 🤘🏻
Ear-gasm is right! Lovely sound that Tom. Cracking job. After watching these right from when you were first building the car, it’s an absolute credit to you and is the car that convinced me to sell my jdm stuff and start saving to buy and build a mini. Cheers.
Sorry for the losses Tom. That explains a lot though, hope you work through it soon. The engine sounds great, the car in general is beautiful having seen it at bingley 2020 before all the madness happened. That also sucks about the harddrive. If you need a 2nd opinion, I know a company that managed to sort me out recently.

If you're chasing power those pancake filters are not what you need. They don't really filter and their surface area is tiny. Plus they make the air do 90 degree bends which is bad for flow. You need cones or socks with a bigger surface area and substacks for optimal flow
