I always liked this song. But I do know one thing that lasts forever. Yes yes I know the everlasting gobstopper. But seriously everlasting life can be had by allowing Jesus to pay your sin debt to God. The debt was paid with an infinite payment. If you want in you can get in no matter what sins you have committed. Just believe that Jesus died for you personally and that he rose again. That's it. Pray and believe. Ask him to save you and he will that very moment. Now you have something that does last forever: your life!

Interesting how when you really listen what starts off sounding like just another catchy pop song ends up drawing some thought-provoking connections between the embrace of unbridled freedom and a sense of fatalism, among other things.

The arrengement is a master piece. From lyrics to music and even the video is just all cohesive well done. I have been listening to this song for years and never get tire of it.
I’m a young person and I wish I was born in the 80s it looked so fun like the music wasn’t about thug life or girls and just rap or something like I saw this on the radio at PE today I have been singing this all day like I love it
Luckily there is still music like this being made today (some of which is my own); it's just quite difficult to find at the moment since it doesn't receive the same promotion as today's "mainstream" music. I try to ensure that people who might appreciate my work (which is heavily inspired by 80s artists) can find it, even if it means randomly popping up in UA-cam comments.
Loved this song the fist time I heard it. Makes me feel so good & it goes deep in my soul. It's comforting and i consider it a Clasic that will be around forever. This song rules the world! Thank you Tears For Fears. It will be forever a favorite.
I don’t know how to describe it but..this song makes me feel safe ykwim? It just feels like that warm hug on a rainy day and at the same time it makes me want to dance until my feet hurt what an amazing track.
My mother's whole fashion and music taste rubbed off on me because of how much time I spent with her... and I honestly want to live in the 80's like she did. The music is so cool, I wish other people liked it more. :)
The lyrics are so true for today's world..Seems everybody wants to rule this world we are living in these days...We need to get it right, or we are all doomed!
Basicly the lyrics were a statement against the war around the Falkland Islands between Great Britain and Argentina, what was in that time. But today it's more actually than ever.
Perfect song for the times that we are living right now with this covid-19 and the behavior of the human race that don't agreed about what it's the right thing to do...everybody wants to rule the world. BTW,one of my favorites 80's songs. Thank you for the video!
The joy of liking this song when you are younger is that you get to see how happy it makes your parents when they see that these songs are still remembered greatly , it's really nice to see them smile whenever me and my sister play this song on roadtrips and just in general
This was my mam and dad's song when they were still together. I was born in 87 and they got together and married a few years before, 85 I think they married. All this time I've been singing "turn your back on your good nature" and today I found out its Mother Nature 😂 only took me 34 years!
I’m 12 and I love 70s 80s and 90s the music is the best and the modern day music is crap, I love tears for fears heart stop and Motley Crue there all so great
This song takes me back to driving around in my car with only a few stations available on the radio. The same songs played over and over. But we loved it every time it came on... again. Cassette players built into our cars weren't a thing yet. This song brought me right back to those glorious days.
Cai Kohler Did you know the people who made it were planning on making a sequel, but it got cancelled on the "drawing board"? Man, I wish that they had made it anyway. I have a 220mph KTM it's my time machine
One of the diamonds from the 80's.
They should of put this song on the soundtrack for Grand theft Auto Vice city
+Derek wilder This song was in the GTA V Beta Version actually.
+Svilen Vasilev They should have kept it
Tyler Just like the cut song "Head Over Heels"which is also by Tears for Fears in GTA TBoGT.
Also this song was in one of the older versions of saints row the second one that’s where Loved it
The arrengement is a master piece. From lyrics to music and even the video is just all cohesive well done. I have been listening to this song for years and never get tire of it.
I'm a teenager, in 2020 and I love this song so much
This is my type of music i miss the 80’s :(
Even though the 80s have long since come to a close, your type of music is still being made today! You just have to know where to look for it...
I’m a young person and I wish I was born in the 80s it looked so fun like the music wasn’t about thug life or girls and just rap or something like I saw this on the radio at PE today I have been singing this all day like I love it
Nowadays music is just autotune and aggressive hi-hat lines
Luckily there is still music like this being made today (some of which is my own); it's just quite difficult to find at the moment since it doesn't receive the same promotion as today's "mainstream" music. I try to ensure that people who might appreciate my work (which is heavily inspired by 80s artists) can find it, even if it means randomly popping up in UA-cam comments.
Read the lyrics as you hear the song. So appropriate for what's going on today. I love this song!
Read into the words. This is happening now. Life will no longer be flowers and rainbows!!
Loved this song the fist time I heard it. Makes me feel so good & it goes deep in my soul. It's comforting and i consider it a Clasic that will be around forever. This song rules the world! Thank you Tears For Fears. It will be forever a favorite.
I'm playing this at my birthday party tomorrow
This is 2 months late but I hope you had a nice birthday party friend :)
3 months late, but I hope you had an amazing birthday
Happy late bday ❤️✌🏽
Happy birthday but from someone 4 months late 💖
Happy birthday my fwend
I don’t know how to describe it but..this song makes me feel safe ykwim? It just feels like that warm hug on a rainy day and at the same time it makes me want to dance until my feet hurt
what an amazing track.
Listen to words. Really delivers a message. Don't be blind!!
THIS is the song of the 80’s. I’m jealous of my parents getting to experience being a teen in such an awesome decade.
This song is amazing, I’ve been missing out for YEARS
"Everybody *does* want to rule the world."
We made a dvd in scotland for leaving school and this song was on it and i cried so much
M&E Vlogz
Why tf did you cry???
M&E Vlogz you’re making me sad because I’m leaving school
Hated school glad that part of my life is over 😊
My mother's whole fashion and music taste rubbed off on me because of how much time I spent with her... and I honestly want to live in the 80's like she did. The music is so cool, I wish other people liked it more. :)
He had the sexiest voice I’ve ever heard.
Palmieras lost to Tigres good game though 😅😂
The lyrics are so true for today's world..Seems everybody wants to rule this world we are living in these days...We need to get it right, or we are all doomed!
Basicly the lyrics were a statement against the war around the Falkland Islands between Great Britain and Argentina, what was in that time. But today it's more actually than ever.
One of the best pop tunes from the 80s. I used to play this on a loop all day. Still today i love this tune.
Perfect song for the times that we are living right now with this covid-19 and the behavior of the human race that don't agreed about what it's the right thing to do...everybody wants to rule the world. BTW,one of my favorites 80's songs. Thank you for the video!
Since beginning of time that's what our military is for duh
@@jeffcarroll9924 I think they mean each person.... That they want to do what they want with no regards to others.
I'm 11 years old and this song makes me wanna live in the 80's and when no friends were boring that s why I don't like going to my friends
The joy of liking this song when you are younger is that you get to see how happy it makes your parents when they see that these songs are still remembered greatly , it's really nice to see them smile whenever me and my sister play this song on roadtrips and just in general
I get the chills, so many memories.
This was my mam and dad's song when they were still together. I was born in 87 and they got together and married a few years before, 85 I think they married. All this time I've been singing "turn your back on your good nature" and today I found out its Mother Nature 😂 only took me 34 years!
I’m 12 and I love 70s 80s and 90s the music is the best and the modern day music is crap, I love tears for fears heart stop and Motley Crue there all so great
Bruh saaaammmmeeeeee, 80s is fire 🔥
Same I Am 15 I love those three decades music mostly the 80s
i couldn't agree more!
1:19 that moment of the song
Probably one of the best songs ever written ,God bless the eighties
This song takes me back to driving around in my car with only a few stations available on the radio. The same songs played over and over. But we loved it every time it came on... again. Cassette players built into our cars weren't a thing yet.
This song brought me right back to those glorious days.
I woke up with this song in my head this morning, I have been grappling with control, and waking to this on repeat in my brain I decide to let go.
Tears for Fears Rules !!!
David C.S: They surely freaking do!
Rest in piece Aziz, we all look up to you 💪🏼
BUMBLEBEE brought me here....long live 80's songs 😎
I first heard this on the movie "sky high". Good times, those. Good to hear this again!
oh man that was the best movie!!
Cai Kohler Did you know the people who made it were planning on making a sequel, but it got cancelled on the "drawing board"? Man, I wish that they had made it anyway. The first one was genius with its plot twists and jokes. Plus, it was a very interesting idea for a movie - A school for superheroes? Whoop whoop!
Trey Isham same
Unfortunately, I first heard it in the movie Pixels
God that was my favorite movie. I loved back when original Disney movies were good.
Thats original. Best work the way Lyrics have been put. Good job whoever has done it. Hats off. I am so glad I found this, as I went thru many of this songs, found this is the BESTEST...
Nostalgia from this amazing song yet I wasn't born in the 80's😭
I feel you bro I was born in 2004 so I really don't know how the 80s we're but my parents are from the 80s and they say it was very beautiful and walking in town without having to worry about some crack head
Definitely way better then Lorde's version.
Lorde made it like a war song
no thank you, I'd prefer the upbeat version plz
I agree 100% on that
Lorde’s version was for the hunger games
Agreed
Well the original is almost always better than remakes/remixes/reboots like 97% of the time, so this isn’t any news that the original is better
Boy am I Happy I lived through the 80s the absolute best times....simple...but amazing times...
when you just wake up and start playing this song at 4am because depression pfft-
yes i get up very early,//make sure [the news is off]then play your fav. song.//////
It gets better, In time, It always does🤗❤
The most fitting song to describe 2020.
