Thank you! I don't think it'll need an entire year to mature, give it a few months and it should be fine. Yeah I would assume for Asobo that's an issue with what devs are available. They have 3D artists, texture painters, programmers, QA etc. And they need to make a whole sim. So the programmers are pretty busy with internal stuff for the sim while the artists can take their time crafting beautiful models.
Hey, if you press "," above transition level, the system should tune the STD itself. I didn't try it in the 737, but it works in the Fenix and FBW - also it's MSFS standard keybind.

I've managed few great flights in 2024 last few days but yesterday was a disaster in 2024 for me, nothing loaded was crazy.bad. Only going to use 2024 for A350 when released. In year or two it maybe fixed. Using 2020 aircraft and airports in Community folder works significantly better proves the streaming is still broken. Thx for the video thought you might be busy with the 777F testing 😂. I wanted 2024 to be great SO much, really, but I cannot deny it's barely a Beta at this stage, at least parts of the plane dont fall off 😅. The 787 is pretty good you should try it
Remember the launch of 2020? Basically took a couple of years before things settled in. It's crazy it has to be this way, but I think more people should have lowered their initial expectations. I'm a bit torn on how to feel about it though - I symphatize with people expecting to get a working product when MS charge cash money upfront, but at the same time, we as the consumers have to be pragmatic and realistic about it.
@IncorrigibleBigotry no no no no no. I'm so sick of this. People should not lower their expectations especially after the developers promised so much. Peoples should not lower their expectations after paying $70+ for what is a triple A goddamn title. @@Chrisp707- That's not what I'm saying. Maybe I worded it in a wrong way, so let me clarify. Let's say your neighbor has a big apple tree, and each year they sell you a bag of apples. Each year you get excited and just cannot wait to taste them. But they're filled with worms and bugs. Every year your neighbor tells you how they've solved the bug problem with this new bug-be-gone spray and other fancy stuff. But the apples still suck. Yet, you keep buying the apples year in, year out, getting all excited. This is basically the gaming industry as a whole in modern times, not just MS Flight Sim. I got excited too up to the release of 2024, even though I 1000% knew I probably shouldn't, and wait at least six months to get a good experience. We should expect a polished, working-as-promised-and-advertised product from MS, but that ain't happening anytime soon. There's a reason "buyer beware" exist.
It’s lucky your copilot is very patient 😂 with all the bugs. On a more serious note I cannot even begin to imagine what -ppl new to fsim must think when using 2024. They must think fsim really sucks 😢. Gratz on the takeoff the plane was in a good mood today 😂. So 737NG in MAX clothing 😊
If it's frustrating for an advanced simmer, think how it is for a beginner. I don't know half the time if it's bugged or I'm doing something wrong. Can't get ILS to work for love nor money, in a Boeing or Cesna 172. Auto pilot seems to have a mind of it's own and ignores the flight plan, vertical speed keeps coming off, auto speed wants to go faster than what I set. I'm not having a good time.
Indeed, that's why I made my video recommending any beginner to start with a study level aircraft as well. I've been there myself when I was young, I just couldn't understand how an FMC would work because every time I tried things wouldn't work. I eventually almost quit my interest in aviation because I think I'm just too dumb... turns out the addon was simply buggy and the FMC totally broken.
@@A330Driver Just hope they fix things sooner rather than later, or I manage to figure stuff out. I've resorted to unbinding a lot of controls where I'm using a combination of gamepad, keyboard and mouse, and I think it's causing conflicts with duplicate bindings across each
If I remember correctly, since the PERF INIT wind entry is a ToC wind, isn't it true that the cruise level needs to be executed before a wind can be entered? I remember something like this.
When it's a rotating and pressing selector (like the altimeter setting knob) you have to click with the right mouse button. I've read reports where people had to click with both mouse buttons to make it work. I'm glad I've watched through all of this. I thought I was going dumber and dumber while trying to fly this aircraft and nothing was working. The same bugs popped up in the same order to me many many times. For a moment I thought I forgot how to fly a 737. Now, if you want the complete FS2024 launch experience, do that same flight with the default ATC on, on the career mode.
To be fair to Asobo. Did they ever claim that this will be their most completed airliner, no. DId they say this will be their most complex airliner, yes. Maybe they just meant that a 737 in general is more complex than a 747, 787 or an a320neo.
I'm not sure I see the difference between the "most completed" and "most complex" you wrote. At FSExpo in Vegas this year they said this would be study level and the best airliner in the sim (by default) ever. I think we can say they clearly failed at that.
@@A330Driver Oh, mb then and my comment was a joke anyways. In hindsight I should have implified it a bit better. But my point was that 737 is more complex in real life than any of the other ones asobo has created.
Don't mind the aircraft - there will be PMDG and Ifly soon (i hope) and we will have our Boeings back. More important - how did you persuade your FO to look at you that way and to wear the headphones?
To do clicks like that, you need to right click buttons and then left click, not just directly click on the thing. I'm not sure that's the case for the STD button since I don't remember what I did about it on my flight (I think the baro was 29.92inHg naturally, so I just ignored it), but it's caught me out a couple times on some of the Garmins compared to 2020.
Thanks! What a strange way to do this - especially since other aircraft work different. One would think that at least in all the default aircraft they would use a common logic...
Does flying in the sim give a similar amount of jeopardy as real life?, it must be weird when you're so used to a plane reacting in a certain way. Excellent video once again (although I am only half way through)

In the main menu of the game, click on the area that shows your name/avatar. I believe there's a thing near the bottom called 'customization' or 'Identity.' I don't remember exactly, but it's along those lines. There, you can change your own character, and if you tab fully to the right, you can change your FO's model or remove them to have an empty right seat, if desired.
I don't know why this annoys me so much, because it's so small compared to all the other stuff that's broken... all these years later, Microsobo still won't mirror the FO's goddamned PFD in the Max and the 787.

Very nice captain as usual. I tried everything to make Aerosoft EDDF work in MSFS2024, but I can not figure out why it is still the streamed Gaya Simulation that appears. How did you install it captain ?
If they made the default Airliner for Career mode the PMDG 737-800 those missions would actually be playable. It’s not exactly immersive when MCAS tries to kill you on take off and landing. Such an underwhelming release, even the photogrammetry is noticeable worse at all altitudes. Only thing Im glad about thus far is that I have it through game pass
You have to wonder if Asobo actually consulted any real world pilots when making this sim and plane. It just seems to me like developers made a thing, and then they said "OK, that's probably fine" and just put it out there. There's so many issues that are glaringly obvious that a beta test should have picked up. Unless......they did a Beta test and then just ran out of time to fix anything? It really feels to me like this whole thing was rushed, and I wouldn't mind betting it came from from Microsoft top level management, forcing them to get the game out before US thanksgiving holidays.
Seriously does this plane even work? It seems pretty messed up to me. For example. the flightplans are not properly importing from simbrief (its only giving me the departure), also cant seem to map the reverse thrust to my bravo..among many other issues. They really need to fix this thing!
Wow, a flight simulator creator not making flyable airplanes in said simulator. Kind of like the 787 in MS2020 but I didn't expect any changes from MS2020 to the new sim in terms of their quality of designing airplanes. I'm more curious as to what happens with the game when they decided to flip the off switch on the data servers. At least we can still play FS2004 and FSX.
Are we talking the PMDG Boeing 737 MAX or the PMDG Boeing 737NG? If we're talking Boeing 737NG, it should be already available to fly if you bought it in MSFS 2020. I know I see my marketplace aircraft from FS2020 in my hanger in FS2024. As for the Boeing 737 MAX, I haven't seen anything about it so far. It's most likely going to be a long while until we get it. It wouldn't surprise me if it's revealed to come out soon at the time of the next FlightSimExpo later down the line.
In the 737, nothing... only bitches about when you lower the landing gear when you need more drag during descent, because ATC held me at FL320 until 5 NM from the IAF.
Another dissappointing default aircraft is the PC12. I did not even care to go beyond starting engines when I realized how little of the Avionics is modeled. Yes we are spoiled, but currently it feels like the base level for how good a default aircraft should be to make the cut is totally out of whack. On the one hand you have IniBuild's Airbus fleet, which is absolutely low to mid tier payware quality and then you have other aircraft that are only slightly better than the default aircraft of olden days.
Now, I'd like to say my opinion... I'm a very professional flight simmer, and I mostly fly Airbus (since I often fly Airbus I want high fidelity ones).. This 737max isn't bad, let's be honest. It's not the best ultra max pro mega high study level but remember, it's default. And to be default, it's way better than the default ones in 2020. Can you remember the 2020's a320neo? that was a very poor aircraft also for beginners. This MAX is a very good aircraft to fly from A to B, having fun and enjoying the main focus of the sim, which is not the ultra realism, but the appreciation of our beautiful planet. Yes, for a professional like you can suck, but for most of the users, that's more than "Ok"; for the pro ones, there's the payware world. I repeat, I barely fly Boeing in the sim, and for those rare times, I enjoy flying this MAX. As always, amazing video Emmanuel ❤🎉🔝
This! I'm a more 'casual' simmer myself who plays on Xbox, so I was VERY limited in terms of Boeing aircraft I could fly on MSFS 2020. To me, this plane is really great because I was originally flying the Bredok3D 737 MAX if I wanted to fly a Boeing. So, it's quite the step up for me and other Xbox players alike. With some tuning over time, this thing will get better, I'm sure.
@@A330Driver Airbusses in a poor state too at the moment, haven't been able to do a single complete flight with them due to extreme disappointment moments. I personally have quite a few issues: The fuel predict page shows I would need more than 20 tons of fuel for 320 NM trip in A320. The AP pitches nose up to stall speeds in managed mode after passing 10,000 feet. The AP just passes trough the T/C and continues to climb further. The AP refuses to descent in managed at some point when following the STAR. The aircraft can't make its mind whether the plane is in approach or "pedal to the metal" mode during final, it resets and activates constantly. The plane often refuses to do a left turn when taxiing. But I dunno, either the default planes are extremely broken, or the route I try to fly is extremely cursed, because I don't see a lot of complains.
I dont understand that the most important things about the experience has no attention to it..2020 had ground issues to...vehicles showing up, planes to big for spaces... and ATC is still horrible. In certain places, the 737MAX is good. I think simmers are not aimed, this plane is for the casual xbox gamer, that have no option for the iFly get to work.
@ I am sorry, don’t want to blame you. But it seems like you are on a way to go deeper in this rabbit hole. I really meant beginners, that have no deep (simmer) knowledge of an specific or basically any type of Aircraft. Didn’t want to offense xbox players. They probably doubled the number of users, its a benefit for the whole community.
@ no problem. I do agree that they seem to have tried to aim for the more casual user to sell more copies etc. However, if that was their intention they done a terrible job. Because the game barely works on my Xbox series X. I have GB internet so that’s not the issue. So frustrating just trying to accomplish one flight. Especially in the Boeing aircraft that I prefer.
Especially for beginners I regard functioning aircraft as most important! Experienced simmers can find their way around bugs and issues. But what about those who have no idea of the plane? They might run the correct procedure, but if the plane acts up or even crashes, how can they learn? They'll think they're doing it wrong. That only creates confusion and ultimately disappointment and leads them to turn away from the hobby.
Are you using a hardware throttle like on a joystick or throttle quadrant? If so, it might just be that you need to move it through the full range before starting the engines (or before even starting the sim)... Most modern joystick devices automatically calibrate, so until you do a full top to bottom sweep, it doesn't know where the max and minimum points are.
@@tin2001 no I’m just using an Xbox control. No issues with other throttles just anything with Toga. I even put TOGA to nothing in the settings, I just want to be able to put it in forward and move to the runway normally lol. 😂

You need to come very close to remove chocks, the front works well but not from such a distance
Thank you!
@A330Driver I just figured out that the dial press logic has changed. If you want to set the altitude etc on dials with a push, you gotta click and hold left mouse and click right mouse
The 787 is pretty good you should try it
Will be fantastic in 2028 just before the release of MSFS 2028 😂
Let's stop this utter bs of it'll get better stop giving a multi-billion dollar company excuses stop saying "it'll be good in a year" NOOOO It needs to be GOOD ON RELEASE.
Been simming for 25 or more years so been alot of ips and downs. 2020 revived the genre and i forever be greatful for that. I think its the inconsistency of 2024 that annoys ppl. Some parys are fantastic ans other parts is not even Alpha code. Cannot believe they didnt know this. Even the most simple testing wouod show this@@IncorrigibleBigotry
2 hopes for this Asobo Max. Bob Hope and No Hope.
This has got to be the worst joke ever
Mr Perfect, Perfect, Perfect never misses
I've resorted to unbinding a lot of controls where I'm using a combination of gamepad, keyboard and mouse, and I think it's causing conflicts with duplicate bindings across each
1:43 I already found out what happens when you don’t remove them 😂. Found out the hard way
Love your videos
If I remember correctly, since the PERF INIT wind entry is a ToC wind, isn't it true that the cruise level needs to be executed before a wind can be entered? I remember something like this.
for take off data, you have to click the take off button once you've put all the info.
Really amazing the level of detail of this simulator, very satisfied
Just flew the Max today and found you can't change the squawk code, ridiculous!
they made the airport lights way to bright and the panel lights way too dark
Vnav Never works somehow. No matter how you try. Also trim is crazy all the time.. it’s in „kill passenger mode“
The cyber-FAA should definitely ground this aircraft.
This is why I refer to Asobo as OldBozo (Bozo is a clown from back in the old day)
Seems like this plane, is a sack full of shenanigans!
Thanks for this video
Did you try to set the transponder squawk number?
When it's a rotating and pressing selector (like the altimeter setting knob) you have to click with the right mouse button. I've read reports where people had to click with both mouse buttons to make it work.
I'm glad I've watched through all of this. I thought I was going dumber and dumber while trying to fly this aircraft and nothing was working. The same bugs popped up in the same order to me many many times. For a moment I thought I forgot how to fly a 737.
Now, if you want the complete FS2024 launch experience, do that same flight with the default ATC on, on the career mode.
Stuck in the ceiling 😅😂😅
You know Emanuel, you can use the mouse wheel for the knobs 😉
Nur n kleiner Tipp 🤓
Ja, aber das dauert dann wieder so lange :D
Das click/drag find ich für große Änderungen eigentlich sogar ganz gut!
Don't mind the aircraft - there will be PMDG and Ifly soon (i hope) and we will have our Boeings back. More important - how did you persuade your FO to look at you that way and to wear the headphones?
Hi, tbh it was pure coincidence she looked at me at that point :D
Actually not sure about the headphones.
I think this will be a great aircraft, it's just not completed, just as the whole simulator isn't.
MSFS 2024 should hire you as a test pilot for their ASOBO aircraft.
Hey! I got a serious question to somebody who has flown them both, do you prefer to fly Boeing ore the airbus? Super nice content btw!
I very much prefer the Airbus. It's a much better design.
@ thanks for your reply 😊 that’s what I thought, it’s more workflow oriented I guess. Guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr!
One would think that at least in all the default aircraft they would use a common logic...
have you tried 3 digits for the windforce in the fms input?
Does flying in the sim give a similar amount of jeopardy as real life?, it must be weird when you're so used to a plane reacting in a certain way. Excellent video once again (although I am only half way through)
Now we need a tutorial on how and where to hire the exact FO
In the main menu of the game, click on the area that shows your name/avatar. I believe there's a thing near the bottom called 'customization' or 'Identity.' I don't remember exactly, but it's along those lines. There, you can change your own character, and if you tab fully to the right, you can change your FO's model or remove them to have an empty right seat, if desired.
Can you make a video for a general review of the sim?
I don't know why this annoys me so much, because it's so small compared to all the other stuff that's broken... all these years later, Microsobo still won't mirror the FO's goddamned PFD in the Max and the 787.
BACK TO KINDERGARDEN, asobo.
I watched a few other videos and they all seem to be having warning light for air-conditioning so it does look like a bug
yep, it has to be. There's no logical explanation for those lights.
When you land in the fs2024 737 max, and you do manual braking after, it turns off the auto brakes automatically, so don't worry the auto brake was on and activated.
That's a bug then, the switch shouldn't move. Thanks!
there's no performance data for any aircraft yet.
The textures in the cockpit look bad compared to the pmdg im used to. Looks very gamey
Since you are a pilot and know how this jet should handle... you need to email them. Tell them what's wrong.
was thinking of getting myself the tobii eye tracker. i see you have not been using them in your latest videos. specific reason why ?
They're not working in the sim right now
@@DOGOID not true, works just fine

@@article1934 it's not, where's head tracking and configurations? Have you even used it in other sims? Wtf
If you mention the Airosoft airport, do you have the Aviator Edition then?
Or is that included in one of the cheaper editions as well?
I simply copy/pasted it from my FS2020 installation. Most of the airports seem compatible out of the box.
on 05:05 (APU is running) When I go to the CDU and I set the [REF AIRPORT] and then I want to set the [GATE]
I get a message on my CDU: "key not activated" 🤨
Whats that mean ?
They probably didn’t include the gates in the database. Was the same when I flew the 737 IRL. Just use the GPS position
@@A330Driver Oke, tnx for you're response
My biggest gripe with this plane is that you can't change the transponder code, at all. Makes it very hard to fly if you want any ATC...
@@nicolainielsen7700 took me a while but I’m managed to change it after turning a bunch of knobs and buttons until it finally changed. My problem is the ATC is horrible. It’s like I’m talking to 2 controllers at once. And it keeps saying request flight following to Memphis or wherever over and over during flight. Definitely bugged.
@@skyycamwait, what did you do to change the transponder?
Very nice captain as usual. I tried everything to make Aerosoft EDDF work in MSFS2024, but I can not figure out why it is still the streamed Gaya Simulation that appears. How did you install it captain ?
You just must be closer to chocks to remove)
If they made the default Airliner for Career mode the PMDG 737-800 those missions would actually be playable. It’s not exactly immersive when MCAS tries to kill you on take off and landing. Such an underwhelming release, even the photogrammetry is noticeable worse at all altitudes. Only thing Im glad about thus far is that I have it through game pass
Exactly. I wish they had the PMDG 737-600 for cargo flights flying up into Canada that would be awesome.
Right! I literally just started doing Buffalo, Air North, and summit flights in NWT cause of Ice Pilots 😅
I think I will stick to Ifly for the max flying even though it is not perfect its better than this thing lol, I am enjoying msfs 2024 though!
50:48 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😅
You have to wonder if Asobo actually consulted any real world pilots when making this sim and plane. It just seems to me like developers made a thing, and then they said "OK, that's probably fine" and just put it out there. There's so many issues that are glaringly obvious that a beta test should have picked up. Unless......they did a Beta test and then just ran out of time to fix anything? It really feels to me like this whole thing was rushed, and I wouldn't mind betting it came from from Microsoft top level management, forcing them to get the game out before US thanksgiving holidays.
So many developers just say they consulted real world pilots. What they typically don't say is that many of the advice they give is simply ignored.
@@A330Driver such a shame.
Seriously does this plane even work? It seems pretty messed up to me. For example. the flightplans are not properly importing from simbrief (its only giving me the departure), also cant seem to map the reverse thrust to my bravo..among many other issues. They really need to fix this thing!
737 MAX is just doing 737 MAX things...
Can you change the Transponder frequency? It seems to be a bug as I have not been able to change it.
Ah yes, the Maneuvering Characteristics Asobo Screwup
hahahahah, I will remember that one!
WHEN IS THE PMDG 737 COMING
Are we talking the PMDG Boeing 737 MAX or the PMDG Boeing 737NG? If we're talking Boeing 737NG, it should be already available to fly if you bought it in MSFS 2020. I know I see my marketplace aircraft from FS2020 in my hanger in FS2024. As for the Boeing 737 MAX, I haven't seen anything about it so far. It's most likely going to be a long while until we get it. It wouldn't surprise me if it's revealed to come out soon at the time of the next FlightSimExpo later down the line.
Not for a while because the boomers over at PMDG suck at making aircraft in a modern day sim.
Do you have your community folder changed to a different location? If so, does it reverts itself back to the default location after a sim restart?
No, I'm using the default folder.
Hummmmmmmm... Sticking to MSFS2020 for now😂
Can someone tell me what does that FO sitting on the Right seat do in mfs24? Will she help with checklist or just nothing
In the 737, nothing... only bitches about when you lower the landing gear when you need more drag during descent, because ATC held me at FL320 until 5 NM from the IAF.
Did i miss how to activate the TO/Go button takeoff?
I assigned it to my joystick.
Did you have do bind your controls differently?
Whenever I get to any airport I got black screens in cockpit. Have you had thos issue
I haven't had that issue, no.
@A330Driver I've reinstalled my game and everything but it won't fix it. And I've wiped my whole Xbox to a fresh and still doing the same thing
The moment i set speed limit for destination, the game crash 😂
Best to focus on the Airbusses at the moment :D
@@A330Driver Airbusses in a poor state too at the moment, haven't been able to do a single complete flight with them due to extreme disappointment moments.
I personally have quite a few issues:
The fuel predict page shows I would need more than 20 tons of fuel for 320 NM trip in A320.
Oh well. I guess People need to start writting all these bugs n and send to support. That's what I'm going to do! Been simming since the birth of flight sim. i''m just glad graphics have somewhat improved. :)

In certain places, the 737MAX is good. I think simmers are not aimed, this plane is for the casual xbox gamer, that have no option for the iFly get to work.
I’m Xbox gamer and this plane sucks to me. I’m no professional but I set up plane just like any other simmer. I don’t just spawn in and take off.
How to taxi it properly I try and the TOGA just kicks in and it goes really fast.
What can I do to taxi and use normal throttle?.
Keep A/T off until you enter the runway.
@ is that auto throttle? Cause I think that’s off and it still when I put throttle down, the TOGA comes on and planes goes fast lol. 😂
Does this plane suck or what?
