these are straight up ambassadors of juke/footwork. anyone spilling sarcasm like, "wow so much energy" or talking about them not being "real dj's" obviously never saw these guys live - on a stage, not a couch awkwardly surrounded by a seated audience. No one's using auto-sync or Virtual DJ here. CD-J's and Serato...pretty much the standard in electronic DJ fare.
Yeah. Any criticism about "energy" is because of this weird show format where they're DJing on a coffee table to people sitting in beanbag chairs. That's not really how this music was meant to be played.

Every song is at 160 so it's not difficult to mix without headphones of you can distinguish one time from the other.

+Nick Ceballos Yeah not EVERY song they/ve produced is at 160, I know that. The majority, if not all of the tracks played in this set are at 160. And yes, their knowledge of their own music means they're comfortable mixing without headphones, which is what I was trying to get at. They know their own music well enough to be able to distinguish one tune from the other despite most footwork using the same 808 snares/hats etc.

nope..you are wrong in technical point of view.they are playing music from traktor on lap top connected to cds..they can see wav form on software and on cd display..all the have to do is release it on first beat..simple as that..I have dj.ed other artist tracks for 2 hrs with out headphones..
literally every bleep and bloop in the mix has been given purpose. i am still fkn amazed by these magicians

This is how Chicago footwork DJs basically always do it. They don't use headphones. 98% of the tracks are produced at exactly 160 BPM anyway.
