This whole dynamic sets up Cael as the GOAT when it comes to coaching. It goes beyond his wrestling knowledge because he also has a knack for bringing in technicians and work-out partners to the Penn State room, and he administrates better than any other coach on the college and post college scene.
styles certainly make matches and these two are super familiar with each other obviously its just hard for me to see Aaron beating David if David is still at his 2022 level after going down 6-0 to Zahid because if anything I would imagine cardio will favor David in this match its one of his staples. All that to say Aaron is 100% the future of this weight I kind of feel similarly about both he and Nolf I don't know if this year is the one but I think it definitely could be next year.
@@TylerJayWalker fair point I more or less meant I do not think Aaron can weaponize his cardio against David like he did Zahid so he cannot rely on him slowing down in the second to score his points.
@@HoldenCoughfield I'm not sure how to characterize Zaheeds (maybe the cut just gutted him and his cardio was otherwise fine, sometimes that happens even with an experienced wrestler) but I'm saying that Brooks and DT, imo, have similarly high level cardio.
Nolf vs Dake will be a closer match-up and I’m still picking Dake. Aaron is very good but he can’t beat Taylor yet. Taylor will never really be threatened at Final X.
Dakes defense and natural strength is just on another level. That and he started freestyle with battles against burroughs and Taylor for years. Don’t see him losing
@@billybalentine8065Well you guys make great points but Dake and Taylor are in their thirties and Nolf and Brooks are in their twenties. Father time is undefeated.
Love these videos getting the scoop on what's going on who's coming up or who to look out for wrestling is awesome and we finally have a platform to get some insight thank you so much brother
So if Aaron Brooks was specifically chosen by Taylor to mimic YAZDANI for the Olympics games , only to beat Yazdani at said Olympic games, then this makes it entirely too probable that Brooks can definitely pull it off.
CP is praising Penn State for navigating competition within the room, which I would agree with for the most part; however, I think the David Taylor/Bo Nickel fiasco was really poorly executed. I have to imagine Bo Nickel harbors some animosity towards Taylor. I think that if Taylor was honest with him, Nickel would’ve been U.S.A‘s best option that year.
@@LakeNonaFan 2019 World Team Trials. Nickal and Taylor were the same weight. Taylor was hurt but told everyone he was good to go. Nickal goes up a weight because Taylor told everyone he wasn’t hurt and Nickal subsequently loses to Cox at the world team trials. Taylor never took the mat and essentially handed the world team spot to Downey who Nickal would have likely beat. If Taylor told Nickal that he was hurt and Nickal placed at worlds, he would have been able to sit out until Final X which is a pretty big advantage. Taylor pretty much did the math and knew he would have a better chance of Downey not placing and beating him in Final X if he did.
David Taylor will be top dog until he hangs up his jock strap. He can beat Brooks 2 of 3 and then think about retirement after the Olympics. Then Brooks can take reign if he's still around. I also agree that the Nolf Dake final X might be closer - seems NOLF has put it all together but he still has to be Dake 2 of 3, something I don't see happening with the olympics next year
Some of the best matches at the US Open were PSU v PSU. N Lee / Bartlett and Nolf vs Cenzo were epic.

Aaron seems to have similar cardio - look at how that Zahid match went where Brooks seemed to run him into the ground.
@@TylerJayWalker Not really, Zahid's past couple of matches his cardio has been god awful.

Brooks is great. David is one of the best pfp in the world tho… I still expect it to be a close match tho.
Still not over Brooks' comments in his NCAA interview. Rooting for Taylor all the way.

Can Cael still take these guys in succession at anytime on live gos?
No

Oh Sonny! Let it go man. Have a good Memorial Day. Hate-watching and commenting is just no way to spend your time.
If you showed the actual matches and talked less, it would be better. We are not going to tune in and watch you talk.
Brooks is a hybrid. He will beat Taylor.
Time my friend time!
He is a hybrid of cael sanderson
