Thank you for being everyday person
You yelling for your mom is hilarious!! I'm 48 years old and still yell for mine when she disappears in our grocery store 😂
Fully enjoyed this! Who knew we needed a tesco haul?! Love it
Great to hear I was worried about putting this up but it’s great you enjoyed it x
Gabby another great video. Totally agree about the price of food going through the roof. Good to see your Mum . And Thumps always brings a big smile to my wife’s face. 😃😃
Thank you.. did you see the way thumps was sat coming down the escalators lol he had his feet up the whole time lol
@@GabyStarbuckx yes we did 😀😀
Really enjoyed this video Gaby I can relate to you and your mum shopping together as when I do it with my daughter I'm always wondering away with the trolly 😂 can we have more of your shopping videos helps us knowing that you also are finding things going up in price thanks again for taking us shopping with you
Aww that’s lovely.. yes of course I’ll definitely do more now I know people like them. Glad you enjoyed it.. ps I think it’s a mum thing lol x
Just wanted to say thank you so much for this vlog. My hubby has just discovered he has a dairy allergy. So thank you we love fray bentos pie.❤
No way I feel for your husband it’s difficult but it’s still achievable to enjoy certain things if they’re available and you know what to get.. it’s taken me over a year to figure some of these things out xx
Thank you gabby. We are taking it one day at a time. 😊
Gaby as I live in the USA I love to see what you guys like to buy and the prices compared to the prices here. I shop mostly at Wal-mart and the prices can be quite high here where I live. Things have gone up a lot since Covid. Thanks Gaby… you are the best👏🏻
A pleasure Melissa yes it must be fascinating to see.. because I’m the same with Americans the other way round.. I absolutely love the American way compared to ours. Xz
Nearest we have to wal mart is Asda for us
Every thing was pretty normal and in tuned with my shopping habits. Then you pulled out the Fray Bentos pie. Now I consider you a godess !
😂😂
You do know you can often get better prices on your fruit and veg from your local green grocer or market if you like me are still lucky enough to have one close by, plus most of the items are loose so you can buy just the amount you need so you cut both waste and cost
Yeah I agree with that but we don’t have one unless we go to yarmouth market which isn’t close enough really.. our village is full of hair salons and funeral parlours lol
Great video Gaby. Have you tried putting the Tesco fabric conditioner in an empty Comfort bottle and then seeing if Tim notices?? 😉
Haha I would but mines blue his it yellow lol
Thank you for another great and uplifting video, Gaby! You deserve all of the success from UA-cam, all that's even possible at least! Thank you for putting many smiles on myself and my partners face :) all the best.
Awww wow thank you so much that’s really kind. Glad you enjoy the vlogs that really means a lot xx
I prefer Asda to tesco. And Asda have a good reward scheme get money back instead of just points. Some of the food is nicer too.
Hi Gaby, shopping dairy free is a mission , although it is getting better . The Tesco soya milk is so cheap and I love it. I really missed cheese, but Cathedral city vegan is amazing ! Positive is that supermarkets have so much more for DF . Loved this x
So true! It’s hard but I think it’s just a case of getting to grips with it.. but when you first start out it’s a nightmare. Ps I miss cheese too x
@@GabyStarbuckx Try the Cathedral DF x
Did you know mackintosh quality street chocolate more than 40 years till nowadays is very popular in happy occasion as birthday parties, wedding, graduation ceremonies. And other types such as dairy milk , flake .
Has quality street been going 40 years?
Love your videos Gaby so you should do daily vlogging I think, just general daily stuff like this 😄more views more money 💰xx
I worry my subscribers will get bored
Had to giggle when you said Tim has Wotsits with everything including stews!!! 😵💫😲It's a bit of a nightmare isn't it having to read all the backs of packets to see what ingredients are in there to make sure Casper doesn't get any dairy. My daughter is allergic to onion and garlic...there are very few items without one or both of these in them. And she's a vegetarian too. I end up having to shop in several different supermarkets. Exhausting!🥵 x J x
Or gosh not heard of anyone being allergic to those before yes bet that’s a hard one… I’m hoping Caspers dairy allergy will get better though cause he’s getting re tested soon xx
It's a lot for you when Tim's away I reckon. So nice to have your mum for company xx
It really is! Hollys good company too when she’s not working xx
She's a lovely girl, you must be well proud hon. X
Love a shopping haul. Thanks Gaby ❤
I'm with Tim.... comfort, £2.50 bin bags 😊 xxx
To be fair I agree with the bin bags now lol
That is a big Tesco ours in Twickenham is medium sized.Good idea about the plastic containers I buy them a lot i try to batch cook like spag bol/shepherds pie, chicken curry and rice freeze.
You mum is your twin both beautiful ladies
Awww thank you… yes I never used to feeeze food but now I’ve got thumps it’s saving me a fortune xx
As for freezing food I always freeze down excess bolognese, chilli, curry ect. I use similar containers ideal if you need to grab a quick meal.
I add meatballs to a pasta bake to make pasta and meatballs cheap and easy 1 pot dish.
Do you mean the tinned meatballs
@@GabyStarbuckx yes the tinned ones can add others but tinned work fine usually use on my camper van to ease washing up
Hiya Gaby, thanks for sharing your shopping,I do like Jaffa cakes and Tesco are just as good,i lot of products have gone up, sometimes we shop at Tesco but mostly Aldi, but cleaning products I shop around,I find home and bargain and B M are good for for most products, take care and have a great evening.
Yes I’m the same Diane.. we like to go to savers or wikos for a lot of household products it all really depends where you go…
@@GabyStarbuckx yes Wilko and saver's are good too.👍
Thank u Gaby was really intresting and helped me for when i go shopping at Tescos im always trying to find bargins and offers to try and safe money
Oh good I’m so glad it helped xx
My wife and I with the cost of living have started experimenting with own brands and to be honest you can as you have shown Gaby save a fortune. They have recently opened an Aldi near us up in Yorkshire and it has been a real eye opener for good quality and even better prices now we are retired we do tend to shop around a lot more.
Keep up the interesting vlogs
Martin and Lesley
Thank you so much your absolutely right.. I’m exactly the same. If I’ve got the time or can manage to plan ahead I always try to budget where I can and get from the right store. I get so frustrated when I have to buy last minute and pay over the odds somewhere x
Glad you mentioned taking the lid off the Fray Bentos pie. Last time I really damaged my teeth trying to get at the meaty goodness.
Hope you didn’t need a dentist
I always have a oak milk cappuccino in there, when I shop ❤
Can’t beat it.. the coffee is good in there
@@GabyStarbuckx I’m addicted to there cappuccinos l love them so delicious ☕️
Great vlog Gaby, I did laugh you having to keep finding your mum.
Just a tip bananas, I’ve tried & tested this after seeing this on a save your money prog. I picked up a pack weighing £1, the same size & amount loose was 69p a no brainier & the plastic bag goes in landfill too. Thanks for the tip on jaffer cakes & I’m sure they are cheaper. Isn’t the oat milk so pricey but then isn’t it all. Great find on the soy milk I buy that too. Oh my I’ve not bought that pie since my 20s my ex boyfriend loved them! Not for me🤢
Little Casper he’s so relaxed with his socks off & feet over the bar, I remember those wonderful days🥰
We usually get the All Rounder Potatoes , as they make lovely Mash! Xx
Yeah I think they are absolutely fine can’t beat them x
The flamin' hot Wotsits are soooo nice. They're moreish when I eat them so I keep on stuffing them in, but afterwards my whole mouth regrets it - It's worth it though! Let Tim know about them if he doesn't already as I'm sure he'll love them. You have to suck the flavour out, the same as with cheesy Wotsits.
😂😂😂😂 Tim’s scared of spicy food though lol
Good vid Gaby, enjoyed that 👍. I bet if you did a blind taste test for Tim on wotsits v tescos own cheesy puffs he'd have no idea! Im always gobsmacked when i see the amount of brands people still buy,im like you i only buy them when there is a really good offer, which I find is rare now.
I know I’m so with you on that… the other day I compared the Stockwell weetabix to the Tesco weetabix for thumps which were so much cheaper and it turns out they have more nutrients and less salt… I couldn’t believe it x
I need to go shopping so I’m watching this to procrastinate going 😂😂😂
Haha I get you lol 😂
Hi Gabby you have similiar shopping items i get from Tescos very good video 🤗❤️👍 i buy dark chocolate for baking and end up eating beforehand lol
Haha great minds think alike x
Hi hope you all ok I not good at shopping so this going to de a good help thank you for doing this ❤
An absolute pleasure Paul x
we all have eczema and it kept flaring up, read somewhere that fabric conditioner can cause it, so we stopped using fabric conditioner and our skin has never been better since, might be worth trying
Oh I know what’s causing Caspers it’s a dairy allergy so he’s ok with conditioner but before we got tested we were ruling that out as a possibility.. I feel for you with the eczema x
It was a very good shopping day blog today when you chilling out doing your food shopping at Tesco with your mum gaby , gaby and your mum / Casper aswell
Thanks Eugene do you shop Asda or Tesco
Started putting loaf in fridge and it's fine. lasts longer.
Hi Gaby, its interesting how prices vary.
I was in Cardiff last week and we found a Herons food super market.
We have been to them before in Blackpool and Hull so we know how good they are.
If you ever holiday in a place that has one check them out.
Keep up the good work 🥂
I’ve honestly never heard of them before but I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for them and if I see one give it a go x
Very good vlog there Gaby on shopping at Tesco. A lot of the time when going for a big food shop, we normally go for the store own brand, as sometimes you can get it a little bit cheaper then another brands. The other day I needed to get some applesauce, they were sold out on the Sainsbury's brand and they cost 80p 250ml. So I had to get Colman's Brambles apple sauce and they cost £1.70.
When buying bread we get Hovis or Kingsmill 50/50. I look after abandoned cat who run away from home, it's a long story. She don't like to come in my house, have tried but she would just run straight outside. I also look after my neighbor cat as well, there cat seem to like my house. Anyway I buy them the Go Cat biscuits as well, for there dinner I normally go for Gourmet 60X 85g, meat - fish. It used to be £11.50 at Wilkinson's then it went up to £13, then £15. Then they discontinued it and it cost £16.70 at Sainsbury's.
The other day at work they brought back that cat food, just the meat, it now cost £17.
Crazy isn’t it x
@@GabyStarbuckx It does make you wonder how much it was be when it goes in the sales. 🤔
Love it Gaby. Being from the US (West Virginia) it is interesting to see the different foods you have and the prices. Prices seem to be higher here than in the UK and we do not have to pay for bags. Love it when Smidge makes an appearance. Would like your opinion on the No 7 skin care you had in one of your videos. It is now available here in the US. The advertisement says "The UK's number one skin care is now available in the US." Always look forward to Monday coffee morning and new videos. 💕💕
Oh really o didn’t know no7 was going over there.. I’ll be honest it’s not my go to brand but then it might be number 1 hear because everything else is from another country.. for skin care I love nip and fab.. have you tried it? And make up NYX although I just tried a different brand of primer to nyx which is so much cheaper and it felt better.. it was called Collection not sure if you know these brands. But no7 is ok somewhere in the middle. So glad you like the coffee mornings couldn’t get the camera right today lol x
We get Nibble by Warburtons, its low calorie and very nice wholemeal bread.
I’ll have to try that one x
I remember my Nan doing us fraya bentos pie with mash and veg i wish i could have them days back
Yeah they are a blast from the past
Brilliant blog as always I always shop at Aldi use Tesco now and again usually when Chris gets paid as he works for them in the warehouse so we get more discount 😂 xx
Aww nice bet that makes a difference Ali.. I’d go to Aldi more but I don’t think there’s enough variety xx
@@GabyStarbuckx ya we also get discount at Morrisons cause the other two work there 🤣 x
Your shopping vlog is way more interesting, informative and entertaining than the other channels out there. Love the stories on each of the items - everyone else seems to just focus on price and don’t speak to camera. This wins!
Aww fabulous that’s great to hear.. I’ve never seen any others I’ll have to check them out. Maybe I should do more like this x
@@GabyStarbuckx it’s a massive category on UA-cam. My wife found them. A lot of them are very dull so think yours would stand out
When you singing in brightion and hove east suxxex uk
I mix own brand rice krispies with Kelloggs. Same with own brand mushy peas with Bachelors etc.
Do they look the same David?
@@GabyStarbuckx Tim won't notice the difference when mixed. 😁😁
Great vlog Gaby thanks. Hubby has put Fray Bentos pies on shopping list as he's never had one! I love them! What is it with men and veg eh? Took Mr a long time to educate mine 😅
I know they just won’t eat it even if I’m not keen on veg I put it wish mash and gravy and you wouldn’t really taste it. I think men are whimps sometimes lol x
❤️😊
Gaby the jus roll pre made puff pastry is actually vegan which would be nice if to put on top of a stew and make a pie for yourself x
That’s a great idea I’ll give that a try thanks Gemma x
@@GabyStarbuckx No probs Gaby! I just throw it on top of my pies with a little egg wash 🙂
bought a box of Farleys Rusks the other day for a munch..buy a box most weeks..have always loved them since I was a kid 30+yrs ago..🥺😂
Haha why not they are fab lol
Hi Gaby,my cat Dora eats Purina Indoor formula in the blue bag.She is so picky and won't eat anything else.
Oh no is it expensive?
great informative vlog totally agree with you on the prices went to my local tesco nearly had a heart attack cadburys hot chocolate 4.25 and tomoto ketchup 4.15 disgraceful how these companys are ripping us off what are your opinions ??
4.15 for ketchup omg no no no… that’s just wrong 😭
@GabyStarbuckx went to my local coop it was 4.50
I brought comfort and when it ran out I changed to a cheaper brand and pour it in the comfort conditioner bottle and my son hasn’t said anything and this has been going on for the last 6 months I also do it with some other items I buy a cheaper make and put it in a brand box or bottle
No way haha 😂 t if and the way to do xxx
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻well said❤️
😁😁
Hi Gaby
I tend to shop wherever too. There is definitely a taste difference in some products. Trial and error i guess. I love jacket potatoes too. So many fillings to add even those tinned sausage and beans. And meatballs too with a cheese slice on top🌸🌷💕
Yes definitely jacket potatoes are a affordable winner for me… can’t beat them abd a healthy option xx
i know i dot have a casper but when i do have to go in i am in and out in less than 15 mins, i just grab what i want use the self scanner so i can get it done ASAP hoo i use that bread too
My dads the same lol
👏🏼👏🏼Wow your Swedes at 80p, so cheap here in Perth, Western Australia they cost $7.99 a kilo so = £3.80 Pretty expensive
Omg really?
How are you doing mrs gabby thank you for sharing your trips with us . I just read right now about tesco it’s very ancient founded in year 1919 includes supermarket, hyper market, convenience . We in Arabic countries have too flea market and you in England known as car boot sales when vendors sell their goods from boot or American English trunk of their cars . Every week we have flea market in every town sell second hands goods . Shopping center for cheap goods as you one pound store , USA dollar tree . Most expensive goods stores in England is harrods . Iam so sorry to be little long but reading and writing both are great ways to improve our English as none native speakers. In past only travel aboard or looking for books to learn new information. Now days UA-cam channels as open universities for every one google is our library. Good luck to you your dearest ones .
Your doing amazing and you’ve really done your research.
You absolutely right about the car boot sales I’ve done a few when I’ve needed extra money. Keep up the good work and thank you for watching the vlogs xx
Gaby you could break the banana in half and put it on a lolly stick, melt some milk free chocolate and coat the banana and freeze them.
I bet if you used the tesco one and put it in a comfort bottle tim would not have a clue
I bet
I get sweet potatoes now they taste so much better
I love sweet potatoes x
Omg .my mum used to this too😂😂😂...
Haha classic mum syndrome lol
Hi Gaby, for a treat, has Tim tried Wotsits Giants? They're really good💕
Oh I dunno I’ll ask him lol x
I shop at asda gaby
Well it’s just as good I’d say
Great job, Gaby! I really enjoyed that. I can't believe that they make you pay for your bags! That would never fly here. We'd revolt. I use my shopping bags as bin liners. It was really fun to see if your stores looked like ours in America. It's pretty similar, except I love the big price tags. Here, you need a magnifying glass to see the price on anything. When you said minced meat, I didn't know what you were talking about. :-) I saw the picture and decided that it must be ground beef. :-) You sound like you might be a daddy's girl. That's sure sweet. Have you ever considered making homemade bread? Nothing like it as far as I'm concerned. It makes the best French toast too. One thing that we used to do with carrots is grate them in a cheese grater, then add raisins and some miracle whip and stir it up and chill it a bit. It's something different. Thanks for the tips. Keep them coming 😀 xx
What’s miracle whip is that sweet? I forfeit that in America everything is referred to different.. when I went there in the local supermarkets I found it absolutely fascinating seeing how things were kinda the same but not. I do sometimes use shop bags for bin bags when I’m desperate but I think the shop bags work out more expensive then the liners.. I know about the shopping bags it annoys me they charge.. they never used to but now they do because they are trying to encourage us to recycle but it’s not working it’s just encouraging us to be skint after paying for them lol 😂
@Gaby Starbuck miracle whip is a bit like mayonnaise, but sweeter. We put miracle whip in our homemade potato salad too. That is so true about things being kind of the same but not! I had that reaction to the bag that you said Tim has with every meal. I was thinking that it looked like what we have but then again, not really lol 😆. How horrible that they started making you skint with the shopping bags! They should be ashamed of themselves. Take good care, Gaby, I worry about you with that dreadful cold you've had for weeks. I hope the worst is past. x
M and S and Sainsbury send money off vouchers if you go regularly so bi-weekly for Sainsbury which is worth over 10%. They ramp up how much you must spend to £80 though. Tim and his wotsits and Holly and her braeburns.
Do you think that would work out a better price then Tesco Chris?
@@GabyStarbuckx looked up Braeburn apples, bread, Farley's rusks, Heinz beans and are the same price, 6 pack of Wotsits currently £1.50 as Nectar price special at present. Definitely worth comparing as £9 free is good! They send vouchers in post as use a physical nectar card rather than app. You could ask at next coffee morning if everyone gets vouchers.
This is why i do my tesco food shop on line plus i don't have my own transport so i don't have to hump my bags back on the bus.
i don't blame you... although i do online also and still end up forgetting something... even with a list lol
@@GabyStarbuckx the main thing i dont like is the £50 spend at tesco to get free delivery even if you pay for a delivery pass, so i am now using asda more, and i have a morrisons close if i do forget stuff.
Very interesting and entertaining. I don't think you get points now, it is club card discounted prices on certain items which are shown in yellow. With various dietary aspects to take into account it must be a bit of a nightmare shopping. I am thankful that I do not have that to consider.
I never really thought about people with dietary requirements either but now I’m in this situation I can really sympathise with them. I tell you what Barry if you forget the club card the price of your bill shoots right up doesn’t it x
I have a intolerance to tomatoes ,so i now have to be careful what i buy
No way bet that’s a difficult one x
i adapt i get Lenor usually but i got tesco one last shop like you
Did you like it? I think it’s really nice
Haha lol 😂 like the fact you kept losing your mum
All the time lol
Im amased how much food you get for your money in Uk in Sweden its way more expensive 😔
I never thought I'd say this, but I'm finding Sainsburys the cheapest atm. Their own brands are a bargain and they do an Aldi price match and Nectar price match. I spent more last time I went to Lidl 😮
Oh wow I’m shocked x
Hi just watching your video I thought you do onlline shopping
Sometimes I do it all depends … when I was working full time I always did
Aww my black cat likes to cat
It’s the best
i get bin liners from home bargains i only pay £1
Are they strong?
Gaby those bananas I have expierence the same bruising as yourself to quick Tim’s wotsits club biscuits and diet same as myself wired whow good vlog Gaby 👍👍
Thanks John that is a weird diet lol x
Tesco bananas aren’t good
I'm horrified by how much I'm spending on food now and I haven't got expensive tastes. I buy own brand most of the time too. Aldi and Lidl used to be much cheaper but their prices have gone up a lot recently.
I haven't bought a bag for years as I always keep a stash in the car.
Aww well done Wendy I need to take a leaf out of your book… I hate paying for bags but I sometimes struggle to remember them. Yes prices are crazy xx
They still sell Cheetos in the pound shop
Omg I’m there
Ya need grain free dry cat food , the one i use has nearly doubled in 1 year , i stocked up before this .
Which ones grain free
@@GabyStarbuckx I get crave but from asda .Just gone up in price again.
Might i offer up the suggetion of getting your own trolley then you dont have to worry about mums wondering off
It’s because I had to push the pram I couldn’t push both
Good vblog gabby I shop in tescos up here it's getting to dear shame you lost your mum wish they would bring prices down
Yes me too it’s becoming crazy now
Marvellous. Zzz
Thank you x

Meatballs from a tin eh? Dirty that. 31% chicken which is likely recovered chicken.
Yeah can’t beat it

Food shop definitely a slog. Tesco usually has everything but even with my clubcard it's still getting silly - and thats including some cheaper brand compromise.
Good work Gaby.
She will know the difference braeburn is the only apple I will eat.
Luckily she didn’t say anything… although she clearly doesn’t watch my vlogs lol
Purina One is a good cat food Gaby,my cat won't anything else.Does Smidge go out?My cat is an indoor cat as we have a railway line nearby,it would be too dangerous to let her out,you got some good things there gaby.Had to laugh at Tim and his Wotsits.Tim should eat his vegetables Gaby, they are good for him.

Love Fray Bentos too - esp the steak and kidney
They are great I totally forgot how good they were
