I'd like to see a way to have this display in a random position on screen each time if possible. i amended it to show the source then hide the source after a set delay but a way to have it auto close after a gif file has ran or a set number of plays would also be a bonus

Thank you very much for sharing this tool. I would have hoped for a significant improvement, if possible, in the sense that it plays randomly within the library. However, if the random script could only launch once before completing the entire loop and then return to the beginning, it would prevent the same media from being played multiple times in the provided selection. Thank you in advance for your response @Andilippi

This is great!! Been using a different solution but would love a streamerbot solution. Andi, any idea on how we can use this with video and have it detect the end of a vid to trigger another random media source?

I just used a code from another tutorial that I found for videos.
Not sure which is more efficient or if the other code can use images or audio, too.

Also, if you get too hot when installing this be sure to throw an air conditioning unit on a chair and run it out the nearest window KEKW

Managed to get the streamerbot part down but obs is where I am struggling. I am trying my best to follow along but when adding an image source, it has me selecting a specific file and not the whole folder where I want to pull a random image from. So Only one image is set to the image source and not the entire folder

Just leave the image source blank. Streamerbot sends the file to OBS

hi! is there a way to have streamer bot not repeat a file until they've all been retrieved? or even some sort of thing that says when if a file is retrieved more than x times before all files in the folder have been retrieved, it's marked as ineligible until the count is reset?
so like, if you have 26 images, img_a.jpg to img_z.jpg, and it randomly retrieves img_f.jpg, it doesn't reuse that image until the other 25 images have been retrieved, at which point the counter resets.
or if img_f.jpg has been retrieved... let's say 3 times, it's not retrieved anymore until the rest of the files have been retrieved at least once.
then when all the files have been retrieved at least once, the counter resets.
I don't know... something like that, lol. I'm not a programmer, but that'd be cool, to alleviate the chaotic nature of randomization retrieving the same file more than x number of times in a short duration that might make it feel repetitive to regular viewers, especially if you have a smaller amount of files that you're using.
anyways, thanks for releasing this. I already have some uses I'm definitely gonna implement this for!~
