Rudeus' reaction speed here is exceptional to other reaction speed he showns. Ghislaine is her teacher at sword, so when she instructs get down, he will immediately get down. It's like in military, if the chief told you to do this, you will do that without a question.

We need this quality of fluidity and animation back within Mushoku Tensei. I get lately there's probably been no reason to go all in like they did with S1 due to the setting mainly being within the school grounds for majority of S2 but now that's over so hopefully we can get back on track.

People stay for the story, not just the art. Final Fantasy XIV is a great example of that. I would argue that what this season may lack in art quality, it more than makes up for in voice direction. The voice actors for Season 2 have been phenomenal. The raw emotion in Rudy’s PTSD when meeting Nanahoshi, Sylphie’s attack on Nanahoshi, Sylphie’s reveal and confession to Rudy, Nanahoshi's rampage, Rudy’s cracked voice when asking Norn if he could stay with her, and Norn crying into Rudy’s chest-all of it is absolutely magnificent.

It's the journey that makes mushoku tensei so good after all. *SPOILERS AHEAD* It has to do with a miko around 100 years after Rudeus's birth. This miko has the power of rewinding an object's time. Her powers were used in the summoning ritual for a "hero". She got along with said hero but was devastated after his death in a war. As such, the miko used her power in a last effort to bring back the hero at the location where he died, causing a tear in space time, causing a summoning of a certain individual in the past, hence the metastasis calamity.
