Your runs are awesome man, and I'm glad it's all in one video because it saves me alot clicking to watch the next part. Feels like watching a movie (gets some popcorn before watching this speedrun).
I love this video. This was one of the classical games that i wished i could complete, but i didn't. I wasn't able to finish the whole game of Gex 2 on Nintendo 64 neither Banjo and Kazooie. Really happy to see the other levels of this game and how it ends. THANKS! :)
My god. This brings back so many great memories. This, Blasto, and Tomba used to be like my favorite games. Anyone around the age of 18 grew up in a golden age of gaming. :D
dude thanks, i played this when i was a kid but was never able to remember what it was called and i came across this vid by accident and i was just so excited, nad now i found a website so im going to get the game again
Im sure you must know about this one Reece, but in the very beginning when you go up the walls and the on the platform to get the the three secret levels (Prehistoric, scream and Rezopolis), if you happen to go behind all the three TV's and turn the camera so its facing you, you will find a memorial on the wall of the temple, dedicated to a dead friend or developer. I havent however found out anyone else noticing this except for me :/
Thank you! In general, I kind of don’t like the prehistory and space levels. I am same with you on the scary tv levels and I like the circuit levels as well. For my favorite levels, there is a 3 way tie between Poltergex (The scary level in the green area), Chips and Dips (The last bonus level to be unlocked), and Texas Chainsaw Manicure (The scary secret level).
omg i miss this game! u missed alot there in toon tv but hey..i just miss the music graphics and sayings lol...truly golden age of gaming. what ever happen to FUN games....good times #whenever, wherever, forever ps1
My disc had a bad glitch where the game always flickered.....It saddened me cause I loved this game....would of enjoyed it more if that problem was gone
You are right about the 2%. I think I got the boss’s remote by beating the boss before I got everything else. But I don’t know if that holds true or not. I will try this again this weekend and get back to you.
I will add this speedrun to my list of speedruns that I want to do. :) My goal will be 5 hours but however, I am not familiar speedrunning this game so this speedrun could take a long time.
I don't know if it was there one year ago, but there is a caption leading to a complete video. Even though you might not need this information any more.
Hey dude, maybe you posted this somewhere, but I'm curious to know your current rig. Are you playing this on a console, or emulation? I tried running two copies of the game on a PS2 and the sound is also glitchy on the media dimension...
Hello, I used a Pinnacle Video Capture Dazzle that can record up to 8 hours and 10 minutes. I have an iMac running OSX so I have the Mac version of the dazzle. I am playing my games on a PS2. I have seen other people post about noise glitches in Gex 2. I have 1 example in a video: /watch?v=75x3XDnFHmU And here is another one from another user: /watch?v=IxFoR4lJca8 Hope this was helpful! :)
Last night, I tried all the ways that I could think of getting the last boss remote without cheating but all of them failed. It looks like you sort of have to cheat to get the boss’s remote. It is a mystery to me, sorry I couldn’t help. If I think of something, I will let you know.
he had to collect those lives actually. if my memory serve me correctly one of the hidden remotes on normal levels required you to collect these "scattered around stuff " skulls, tomb stones, masks etc. to unlock the collectable remote something, and while doing so collecting 50 of them will reward you with lives and each time you get a life Gex will stop and enter the " getting the live animation " that you can't skip.
I’m glad you enjoyed my run of this. This game is sure a classic as well :) Thanks for watching!
You just summarised a good part of my childhood in under three hours.
"Mao don't know dung" xD I loved the writings on the wall in this game

Thanks for watching my speedrun. I 100% agree with you. PS1 games should never die out :)
dude thanks, i played this when i was a kid but was never able to remember what it was called and i came across this vid by accident and i was just so excited, nad now i found a website so im going to get the game again
Thanks a lot! I am glad you enjoyed the runs. :D
Awesome! I can’t wait to see your speedrun. Good luck! :)
I'm almost 23 and I too remember these games. I loved Tomba too, I'm going to look around for a decent way to play them one more time =D
The nostalgia is real.

(I liked and added to favourite gex 3 speedrun too)
I remember playing this on Playstation One as a kid. Now I finally remember the game's name.
When you think about it Gex is one of the few franchises from the PS1 era of gaming to not have a shitty next gen game
Nice :D Have fun playing again!
I do believe it's tail time
omg i miss this game! u missed alot there in toon tv but hey..i just miss the music graphics and sayings lol...truly golden age of gaming. what ever happen to FUN games....good times #whenever, wherever, forever ps1
WATCHMOJO nostalgia :)
I agree, a lot of my favorite games came out during this time. :)
My disc had a bad glitch where the game always flickered.....It saddened me cause I loved this game....would of enjoyed it more if that problem was gone
Thank you! You're fantastic!
Maldita infancia loco. :')
Wish this series would come back.
Now THAT's what I call gettin' some tail! :D
You are right about the 2%. I think I got the boss’s remote by beating the boss before I got everything else. But I don’t know if that holds true or not. I will try this again this weekend and get back to you.
it's funny hearing the american version, the australian (european i think) version has a completely different voice like james bond
@KINGESTGOOMBA667 You're welcome, I have memories of this game too! :D Go Gex!
Awesome. About 3 hours of tail time.
i like toon TV as well, don't know why, but it's so nostalgic
Omg...the nostalgia.. This game was wayyyy too good. The PlayStation version was the best.
You sir,are awsome!!!
wooow you are awesome! I suscribed, added to favorite and liked this :D, well, i commented it too.
Thanks again! :D
I like toon tv too, Gex 2 is a fun game to play. :)
Do you got any favorite level (besides difficulty)? I always loved the haunted mansions, and you did an excellent job in all of them
I will add this speedrun to my list of speedruns that I want to do. :) My goal will be 5 hours but however, I am not familiar speedrunning this game so this speedrun could take a long time.
My childhood.
miss this game
Sony had some success with creating a version Ape Escape for the PSP. I think they could have also made a version of Gex for PSP as well.
Why the video is always stuck at 1:41:26 ???
***** Good idea! I'm gonna try this
I don't know if it was there one year ago, but there is a caption leading to a complete video. Even though you might not need this information any more.
im surprised he didnt say "its tail time" right before he went to the broad at the end lol
Thanks! :)
Will Cheech, and or Chong, report to the front desk?
Hey dude, maybe you posted this somewhere, but I'm curious to know your current rig.

Was there a level in this game where you could build and ride a rollercoaster???

Thank god for gex or I wouldn't know what time it was...
My Childhood.
I don't get it... what time is it?
@roberto67024 I can upload a video on how to do the space levels for you if you want. :)
Heh, Reece. Feels weird spelling your own name...
Anyway, Gex was a fucking weird game, I could never get my head around it. Nice speedrun, though.
Sucks
first Gex was great
This is on the PSP?
the only word i prefer gex say is bravo
They really tried to force the catch phrase "tail time" which mean nothing at all.
nice but kind of sad that the ps1 was the last console where 2D lived it's last breath! you can see this game is already 3D...
Yeah, I'm not old enough to of played 2D games on consoles cus by the time I got my first game system it was already 1998
Yes :)
The PS version had no Titanic level? Weird.

how is this a speedrun if you're stopping for lives?
he had to collect those lives actually. if my memory serve me correctly one of the hidden remotes on normal levels required you to collect these "scattered around stuff " skulls, tomb stones, masks etc. to unlock the collectable remote something, and while doing so collecting 50 of them will reward you with lives and each time you get a life Gex will stop and enter the " getting the live animation " that you can't skip.
YES! Same here! Personally, i liked the James Bond one better. :)
do spyro 3 100%
Thanks :D I will subscribe to you too!
thats would be great cuz the 2 procent is killing me :/

Watching in 2023 😢
yo tambien hacia eso con la cola para ir mas rapido xD JAJAJAJAJ
God the jokes are so dated lol
Yeah, I can do better; this run doesn’t have all of the quickest ways and routes to do them. This category needs an update soon.
You can do better, i can't :l
Is there no titanic level in this version?
Thanks again! :D
Gracias! :D
