Got one of these on the way. Miss my grand piano and needed something else with a smaller footprint and with headphone out for silent practice but with no compromise on action. This is the one.
Hello. Thank you for the extended video on the Kawai NOVUS NV10S Hybrid Digital piano. I have been actively reviewing, but not yet demo-ing, the following hybrid digital pianos: Kawai NOVUS NV10S Roland GP-9 Yamaha AvantGrand N3X Do you have any comments or remarks on the Roland and Yamaha models listed above relative to the NV10S? I love the form-factor of both the Roland and Yamaha models. The Roland GP-9 has all the digital extras associated with the NOVUS NV10S, but it is unclear whether the sound generation is as good. I've read and heard that the Yamaha N3X sounds very good and has an excellent touch, but is older technology that offers far less digital features than either the Roland or Kawai models. Apparently, however, the Julliard School of Music does use the N3X for their students and performances. Thank you very much for any additional advice you may have to offer.
I don't believe any of us have had extensive sit downs at the higher-end Roland or Yamaha models. ): Rolands are awesome, but they do sound modeling instead of sound sampling -- might make a difference in sound. Yamahas are awesome, and they certainly have an extensive artist program that makes them very popular -- can't speak on their tech much. Personally, I am very impressed by the NV10S. It's a GL-10 action inside of a digital, altered as minimally as possible for a digital. I find it hard to imagine how much better you could make a digital piano! --Drew
I don't believe so. Pedals do make mechanical noise, as do actions. But it shouldn't be very loud sounds that are particularly audible when playing. Have a technician take a second look! Did you end up buying it? -Drew, 👪🎹
This is the best review, actual review of this piano on youtube. By far.
Can you shutdown the touchscreen while you play?
Much appreciated and yes, there's a setting that makes it go dark unless you tap it! - Max

Hi, I got a question.
I wanna buy the NV10S but in the store in which I tried it the sustain pedal made a really loud sound. Is this normal?

I bought one of these and am disappointed with the dynamics. It doesn't go beyond mezzoforte
