This is why I wanted to become a freestyler.
1600 hours later, when I can quad and plan b (and occasionally psycho) and sometimes think there's nothing left, I'm watching this again.
I thought it'd be nostalgic, but no...
these are timeless shots that are still incredible a year and a half later.

I got into rocket league because I like games with a high skill ceiling. I liked fortnite because of its building mechanics, other fps shooters because of how fun it is to ego challenge every person simply because you believe you have better aim then the other.
Then there’s rocket league. A game that seems so silly that the actual gameplay itself is so outrageously incomprehensible to a starting player that it’s just fascinating. I started playing the game like November 2020 and I spent such a long time in training in order to be able to do normal things like air dribbling, flip resetting, ceiling shots, and double taps. That my game sense is actually just dogwater and have a terrible time in comp because of it. So it led me into the freestyling scene, which led me to Jakze. My literal inspiration idfk how he does it but he just does and it works and I love it. I stopped playing around the same Jakze uploaded this video but my peak at the time I was able to get a quad reset (stall), psycho, ceiling musty sidewall read, post setup into musty double tap, plan b into double tap, turtle setup into musty sidewall, and ground pinch into a sidewall read. Which are the some of the more mechanically challenging ones I have, I wasn’t consistent at them but those are goals I’ve scored in an online match before as I had only 500 hours total played at the time. Now I’m back and realized Jakze has been pretty quiet for like a year. I seen he’s been in some show matches but mostly quiet. Jakze I hope you’re doing well man, imo ur the pinnacle of freestyling whatever ur doing rn I hope ur having a good time. Thanks for giving my inspiration once again to play these headache inducing game.
