I agree about the lack of service in ocean view cafe which is strange because last year on Reflection it was much better. Also no one taking drink orders on the pool deck. Everything else was excellent.
What's not mentioned about the Beyond is what's missing in it. If you like to dance, this is not really the ship for you. If you like libraries or playing cards, this isn't the ship for you. If you want to find a spot for forward views in an indoor, air-conditioned area, this is not the ship for you. It offers a wide variety of restaurants but a small amount of social public areas that aren't restaurants, spas or shops. There' the Club, the Martini Bar and Eden inside and that's it. Oh yeah, Craft's Social. There's no pub, no "Bolero's" or "Schooner Bar" or "Wheelhouse Bar" or "BB King's Club" type of spaces on such a large ship. If you like a big open space there's Eden and the Grand Plaza/Martini Bar where once can dance if it isn't being used for acrobatic shows. The Club is two tiered and smaller. It's a good modern nightclub but not an elegant or cool lounge. I find a lot of questionable design in this ship, like locating three specialty restaurants in the busy, noisy "hub" of the ship. Like taking away a forward facing lounge for a suite's only restaurant. Celebrity had many more social mingling areas and opportunities to dance to different music in their 48,000 ton Zenith than they do in their 140,000 ton Beyond. That makes no sense to me. This is a very trendy ship in terms of tech and interior decor (taupe staterooms with one or two pops of color is all the rage now), digital controls, screen enhancements, etc. Some basic spaces for varied cruisers would be welcome. Hope they reappear in Celebrity's next class of ships.
You definitely make some valid points. Of course it's all subjective. For me specifically, I don't like to dance, or party, and do love the technological advances on this ship. I also love the rooftop on this ship vs. the solstice class. I enjoy the pops of live plants, and the added plunge pools, but again, you make some valid points. Thank-you for the comment. I love the engagement.
Hi friend! Great video. My in-laws are Zenith with Celebrity and they recently went on Beyond as well! We have to try Celeb again. We sailed with them once back in 2017 on the Summit. The new ships look amazing!!

@@Natalie-531 yes it was odd. I never had that experience before on the ascent. Maybe they are short staffed or something.
