    Thanks for the video! I just got a pi1541 and this is very helpful. Can't wait to get it going. I already have an SD2IEC and it is cool but compatibility is pretty limited so the pi seemed like a great alternative.

      low_e these are so much better than a sd2iec drive. I am really enjoying mine.

    Looks great can't wait to receive mine to play with. I already have an SD2IEC adaptor but this one looks more interesting to me. I do have a bunch of drives 1541, 1541-II, 1571, 1581, not to mention spare Amiga and Mac Drives but my goal is to get everything on SD cards and on my server that I have for the C64, 128 and Amiga before the disks give up the ghost. This way I can pass down a bit of history to my children and grandchildren. Damn I have to get more Pi's on order.

      Just got one from you today. Pretty cool. I've seem to ran into issues with multi-load on Demos like Wonderland. Have you been able to swap disks and have the program continue?

      @@commodore4ever I have seen it. I am currently working at getting an hdmi monitor hooked up to it to test it out. I was hoping to do it by the buttons only.

    You don't need to use the file browser to load prgs. If you're in a directory of the sdcard, and not in emulation mode (not inside a .d64), doing a load "$",8 will list the files in the sdcard directory. You can simply load them as though you're in a disk. load "program",8,1. the only thing you have to watch out, whether doing it that way or in the browser, is that because you are not in emulation mode you can't use fastloader cartridges as they do some magic in the 1541 that won't work.

    How about an indepth video on setting up the screen. I just received one today I purchased from you and have been working on it for over two hours trying to get the screen to work. This is really frustrating. On comment this,comment that. Nothing seems to work. I can see it on a monitor but not on the red edition pi1541 screen.

    Just a note: You're running with an OLED but did not cover those settings in the options.txt file. These are commented out by default and will cause your OLED to show nothing.

    That's a very slow way to copy the files to the SD card. You should open the zip file from your hard drive then extract it to the SD card instead.

    How’d you get it working with the Commodore 128D? Did you have to disable the C128’s internal drive?

    • @commodore4ever
      @commodore4ever  Рік тому

      I did disable the internal drive or I installed a switch that allows me to change the internal drive device number. I have recently posted a video on doing the device number switch install.

    • @OldAussieAds
      @OldAussieAds Рік тому

      @@commodore4ever Thanks for your video. I’ll give this a try - perhaps I’ll put the switch on the inside of the case though as I’d rarely need to change the inbuilt drive back to device 8.
      In the meantime, is there a POKE command that can archive the device ID swap in software?

      i just tested it on a C128 in 64 mode i dont have jiffydos installed at this time and it worked good for d64 images but not for prg. Files. Can you see if fb64 will load from the root dir with a stock c64 and if it does can you do a short video on the procedure thanks.
