Your talk reminds me of my mom , who passed away long time ago when I was 12/13 . I miss having her in my life to give me valuable lessons and advice. She had very similar thoughts as you .
Wish I learned to iron before marriage in India,because we had a iron man come to our home to iron our clothes.Never seen my grandmother or mother do washing or ironing ,cooking,cleaning as they always had helpers.We were just upper middle class ,not even rich ,but cheap labour was always available.So these things where never thought to girls,which is a shame.

It is however important and very valuable to understand that with time there are necessary steps to take to ensure a happy and successful environment at home. This now includes, more than ever, that men also do the same work that women do at home. Women are now more responsible than ever before to handle things compared to before. Men are helping at home, you dont help yourself in your own home. You are responsible for the things that need to be done and accomplished at home, meaning chores. Men are responsible to get up and move and check what needs to be done and be equal partners to their wives. Boys must be taught to do all the same work and chores that girls are taught. This is what today's society and time demands.
