Trying to lunge into the rabid crowd that could easily break off his limbs (...or break his nose) & fighting of security which has resorted to latching onto the back of his pants, all while performing "The Kill".

As long as they aren't hurting him the security should leave him alone. Unlike most singers he appreciates and loves his fans.

The security has to leave him alone. Shannon himself said that he always keeps an eye on his younger brother when he crowd surfs, so as long as Shannon isn't complaining, everything's cool. :P

Trystannn is right - the security is actually trying to protect Jared, and the people in the first rows. People further back can grab the artists hands and drag them into the crowd, which is pretty dangeours for the artist who can get completely mauled, but also really dangerous for the fans around them because they can get trampled and squished as more fans rush towards them. Security are doing their job, crowd control is pretty serious. If you ever saw a true squash at a concert you'd know

EXACTLY!!! I think he feels the electricity of love and acceptance from his fans. I seriously feel that he, as well as other celebrities, suffer from love, kindness and acceptance starvation, because the entertainment industry sucks the life out of them by using and abusing them. I think, he wanted to escape his real life and just be part of the crowd. To him, that is real happiness, joy and life, not some confined and miserable life with no freedom ever.

@MichaelaB97 Oh, so the security gets paid to just sit there as the fans grope and tug at the band, not letting them play music? I never knew that. I always thought they were getting paid to ensure the SECURITY of the artist/band they were working for, oh well..... Seriously, they were just doing their job, if anything Jared is being kind of a tool in this video. It's not like they were forcefully pulling him back because they thought he was in no danger.
i love it when bands are like this... when i sa wthem at nottingham this year he was like 'everyone in the seating come down and mosh with the motherfuckers on the floor!' i wanted to sooo badly but grrr. i didnt...

damn. i wish he was like that when i saw him live. he didnt interact with the crowd at all, besides telling us to "go fucking crazy" over and over again. oh and ignoring the kids they brought on stage for kings and queens. it was kinda disappointing actually :(

Yeah and that's probably a good thing, but you can see how he tries to push the security people away from him (for example at 0:26), so I think it's bothering him that they're holding him back.

omg! I just seen this and relized that I was at this concert at pizza hut park in plano. This was a crazy hot day! I myself was right up there in the front too and seen all this.
I understand that it's their job to keep him safe but if he wants to be by their fans they should respect that and let him! If I were him I'd fight 'em too! Go Jared! :)

It almost seems as if Jared wants to escape the fame and security guys to be happy and normal with the rest of the normal folks. I feel like these celebrities are living in prisons and have no freedom at all, so Jared being around his fans, he can feel the electricity and bliss of real love and acceptance that he gets from his fans.
And, craves love, kindness and understanding so deeply; he does not look happy to me in his interviews. I think, he hates making movies, because he is always going through some torture and abuse which affect him so deeply, but he is probably forced to do them anyway. He seems desperate to escape the prison he is in, and because of all this, I want God to find him and save him, in some way, because with God, anything is possible.
