      Company hire middlemen to collect the sesame in the field to reach a certain volume and there's auction market for sesame too, where buyers and companies bid the price per kg.

    Realistically speaking, and considering all factors. Lets say as an example Uncle Joe has 10 acres of land. How many laborers does it require from start to finish and what will be his profit per acre if he can have 400kg yield per acre at a selling price of $1.18 p kg

    • @ERICKKUMARI
      @ERICKKUMARI  Місяць тому

      Taking all factors into account, with an average yield of 3,000 kg from 10 acres, a production cost of Tsh 4,000,000, and an average selling price of Tsh 3,000 per kg (totaling Tsh 9,000,000 in sales), the profit amounts to Tsh 5,000,000. This results in a Return on Investment (ROI) of 125%.

      The simplest approach is to hire someone to gather them on your behalf. Alternatively, you could opt to place an order with establishments that sell sesame seeds.

      Cost of production differ, however you can get 200kg - 300kg/acre in a regular basis, with GAP some farmers(big )have recorded the high yield of 300kg-600kg/acre. From the experience of last year farmers sold 1kg to 1.18 $.

      @@ERICKKUMARI Can you recommend one for me

    • @ERICKKUMARI
      @ERICKKUMARI  5 місяців тому +1

      First of all you should clear understand what is Pre-emergence herbicide ? When we say pre-emegency herbicide we refers to the type of herbicide applied to soil before weed seeds germinate. Therefore we apply this pre-emegency herbicide (Roundup/Glysophate) after the seed crops have been planted.
      For sesame once you plant you will need to apply herbicide right away and not more than 3 days. Because after that the seeds expected to be germinated so the herbicide once it contact with shoot, it will kill everything! Here timing is everything otherwise you will kill all the plant, I mean you will kill all the plant once the herbicide touch or contact the shoot or leaves.
      Precautions
      For sesame crops, it's essential to apply this pre-emergency herbicide immediately after planting and within three days at most. Once the seeds are sown, any delay beyond this timeframe risks germination, making the herbicide lethal to the emerging shoots and leaves upon contact. Timing is paramount in herbicide application to ensure effective weed management without harming the desired plants.
