The NSCA guidelines say touch the side line with hand or foot. Not worried about the hand touch, athletes of course run better times. I thinnk we should all agree on the rules of the test because if not the comparative value is lost.

Because American football is the only football? In Canada, where it was invented, we use meters. Pretty sure we invented this test by the looks of it. It’s literally for school children. Canada fitness test.

reliability and validity
In Canada this is part of an elementary and jr. High school group of tests. It’s not training for anything, just a simple exercise.
