I'd have to say that's a bit pricey. I think you're spot on with the packaging and scent take. If you're paying that much for soap it has to be an absolute banger and appealing in every way, especially at just under $8 an ounce. Great shave, Chris.
The price of that Meta 4 makes it a strong competitor for the Razorock stainless steel ones. It's wonderful that Don has returned. Someone about a month ago used his tribute soap from PAA and this got me thinking about him. This hobby is enriched with him back in it.
Unique retro razor design. Vintage SS handle is one of the nicest designs IMO. Will be interested in the blade news since I am not aware of any recent new blade releases. Have a great day!
Excellent shave! I really like the Meta-4 now, but just like it's efficiency it kind of sneaked up on me. I can usually tell after the first shave if I'm going to like a razor, but not this one and after a number of shaves has become one of my favorites. I'd highly recommend it and save your judgment until you've gotten at least four shaves with it. I did get a shave in with the Feather SR kami and I think my SS will probably be collecting dust. It is just a better fit for me, it feels more precise, and is easier to use. We'll see but so far I really like it and I suppose at some point I'll have to try out the DX to see what that's like.

I picked up the META4 razor when it came out and I was struggling with my EJ 3ONE6. I was relatively new to traditional shaving at the time. I did like the META4, but let it go for sale. I sometimes wish I hadn’t.
I always ask myself, after I’ve bought something, razor, pocket knife, pen, etc, if I lost it, sold it, or gave it away, would I buy it again? If the answer is “yes”, I know I really like the item. Spending your hard earned money twice says a lot.
Although I love strongly scented soaps, and would probably enjoy this, the price is far too outrageous. I'm sure the shipping overseas accounts for some of it but still... Thanks for always bringing us artisans not often seen!
I'd like to try the Meta-4 at some point. How would you compare it to something like the Gamechanger .84? I usually stay away from those pricey soaps, but I think Los Jabones does make an Aventus clone I'll need to pick up for my comparison series.
I have a couple of that brand, their duck fat base is stellar and scents are fantastic. Do you have the prismatic? If so how does the meta4 compare. They look similar if they shave alike I may have to get the stainless version
Was shaving the other day & it struck me.. we all share the same concepts / ideas / etcetera. however each in his / her own way.. ex. Scents associated with the fall.. in the States pumpkin / fallen leaves / in the UK Sandalwood.. in Egypt guava fruit.. Anyway long story short I can understand y u r not big on spicy scents😉
There's no way for me to say which one will be more effective for you. I prefer the Meta-4 but I think the 34C is great as well. I like the Stainless Steel build of the Meta-4 though. Both razors are mild and not quite to medium I think.
nice razor definitely a retro feel to that one . looked a good soap but wow bit to top end of the scale triple milled soap i may pay a bit more for but a fairly soft soap not so much . 👍
Have you used a Los Jabones de Joserra soap or the PAA Meta-4 Razor? If so, let me know what you thought of it.

This is a good soap for sure. Very strongly scented and good quality. For me it's not a $7+ an ounce good, but it's good:)

Vegetal stearin, Beef tallow, Shea butter, Glycerine, Kokum butter, Jojoba oil, Coconut oil, Castor oil, Refined duck fat, Argan oil, Apricot kernel oil, Camellia oil, Lanolin, Premium frangrance, Rhassoul, Water (possibly distilled?)
