Pretty much yeah, also it varies from a person to person and regionally. So i could imagine it's very fucked up for a foreigner. "Minä en tiedä" -> "En tiiä", "mä en tiiä", "emmä tiiä", "emmää tiärä", "en mie tiiä" and if you'll just add some normal mumbling like "jaa-a, mä en kyl tiiä" (like "hmm, I don't actually know") it just gets more confusing.

Hmmm... Not so straightforward. I say "mä en tiedä". "tiiä" would be more east or north, Savo/Karelia/Lapland where they would also instead of "minä" or southern "mä" use "mie".
It's so arrogant to say that your dialect is "spoken" Finnish. It's just one of the biggest dialects in the country. It's not some one true spoken language of the whole nation lmao
You can use standard finnish to sound more serious or emotional. Casually you would say spoken "en tiiä", but if you want more stress to it, you can say "en minä tiedä". This works better f.e. when being angry.

I have been living in Finland for 3 years, but still struggling with the Finnish language. It's really complicated to learn it, when they are not social.. All of my friends are foreigners and we struggle speaking the language+ learning it.. And sometimes I wonder if they will be annoyed if I speak in English.. Is it ok to use English all the time? I MENA will they be annoyed (Finns) or not? Hope you answer my question 😊
So here's my opinion on this: I don't think we Finns would find it annoying, some people might even be happy to speak some English. (At least I would.) Many people know English quite well, so why don't give it a shot? :)
If you're a foreign in finland (almost) nobody expects you to speak/understand finnish, it's such a hard language that kan take 7-10 years to fully learn
No its no problem to speak english in cities but in rural areas people hardly speak english. Its common missinformation that all finns would know english. In rural areas people do not know it so wellm
