If I (was?)the captain….. I think the right word here would be WERE. Am I right?
Good catch! "I was" is the standard past tense for "I am"."I were" refers to a hypothetical or imaginary scenario.
Thanks for yr help/work. Just, The De-cing, de-iced pronounciations are misleading. Im not a native but they sound weird.
