Can you imagine your great, great , great, great grandchildren can have a history of their family they can trust and can be verified on the blockchain. These services exist now, but how accurate is their research. I'm not a developer I don't know how you would Tokenize the Service.
The benefit is bypassing the legal framework’s limitations through court dates and lawyers. When someone passes away, it’s a legal process and it’s a hassle in ways it really really shouldn’t be. Most people aren’t hiding a second family and the process should be simple especially when it’s so hard to endure the loss. So this is a time benefit and savings in lawyer fees etc.
This solution would require a universal answer, you wouldn’t want this on a state level when you can have it at least on a national level but global would be even better imo… this is where the digital ID steps in though and balancing the good verses evil on that subject is another interesting conversation… there are many positives to the digital ID even though the negatives are scary 😅

You see she committed suicide. In thoughts days (1934) it was very (Tabo). My Dad and all but one sibling have passed. I was able to find all kinds of information Newspapers, medical, birth records, etc. without lawyers only because I could prove I was her Grandchild and a certain amount of time had passed. No lawyers were needed. I was thinking 1. if my DNA was on the Blockchain I could prove I was related 2. If her Information was on the Blockchain her Information would prove she was related to me as well as her Story. This might have been a faster cheaper way to get to know my Grandmother.

you can tokenize the right to negotiate the price of a tokenized asset. (You want to buy a house? You first have to buy the right to bid on it, to validate you have the money)

For the tokenisation of a front row seat in your example to work the one tokenising the asset would have to pay loyalties to the asset holder ie the event to avoid copyright i.m.o,in that example it would work

I have been seriously considering Tokenizing my oil paintings collection. I have a existing Llc specifically for My XRP long term holdings and I was considering forming a SPR off it to hold the art. The one artist (Duane Armstrong) is in every major collection in the word including the Vatican and at-least 4 National museums. He is Highly Marketable with a solid secondary market. What I was thinking was putting those pieces in museums on indefinite loan, kinda like a trust company, and selling equity NFTs of each painting with a digital copy that could be used in web 3 as a virtual representation of that piece. I don't know exactly how to describe it but if you bought, lets say a building in Sand Box wouldn't you want to furnish it and decorate it, I would. I have considered talking to Jake Claver about this, But I thought I would mention it to you. But I firmly believe the Tokenization of RWA's is the Big Picture. Thank you for the Post

Tokenisation vs unitising assets?
This will be cars, health records, qualifications, business, clothing, luxury watches, etc.. You're right that the list is endless. Car rental services could be tokenised in terms of lease ownership and upgrading services for members of a brand.

I understand the concept fully - I just can't get passed the "but would it actually work irl?" part ... as well as the "what happens when it goes wrong?" part too.... I can understand why transfering the deeds of my house, car, etc after sale or sharing my medical records across all medical professions etc might be useful "tokens" on a blockchain ... but making residual income from dividing personal or business assets seems like a recipe for disaster. What happens when questions are too many ....
This is where smart contracts enter. These rules and rights would all be locked and automated in accordance to detailed and deliberate contracts.

Thats the beauty of it. It would be accessed via a marketplace specifically created to trade, buy, sell, swap tokenised real world assets.
I think there would be some problems in tokenization... Who will be the authority to maintain the real estate, if it is tokenized..the owner directly has no rights to maintain it...wat if the maintainer is not the right person to the thing..
How about as an experiment you do the first tokenisation of this XRP documentary/movie...😮

This tokenasation system would be really good I think if I want to expand the business I can tokenize semi truck get the money for down payment and then pay people a fee from the income. I think it’s amazing idea instead of going to banks or other institutional that will charge you crazy fees. And even if I have to pay people same fees as I would normally pay to banks it’s still better pay to people than banks. Illuminate the middle greedy guys 😄

I must be missing something. If I owned a house, why would I want to share the rental income and have less myself? If someone pays a set price for a share, they would only do so if they could make a profit on the amount invested, so, why would I not want to be the one making that profit by not selling someone else a share in my property?
In this case its like a loan. You get money instantly, but you have to pay for it afterwards.
You might want to access cash for some reason for an emergency or for an investment. It opens up another avenue for accessing cash. Right now, you don't have access to cash from your home without selling the whole thing.
Someone like Trump or Elon might in the future build a casino or for instance (Trump tower) and for many different reasons could tokenize that property meaning you would essentially sell off as an investment a footage in token form. So eg:1 Sq ft=$10, you could invest $1000, receive 100 tokens equaling 100 sq ft of space and the value of the building would be broken into parcels where each foot was worth a certain cash value which would inherently move with the value of the real estate market

Imagine buying a top scotch waiting for it to appreciate within 10-15 years and being able to tokenize the value during that time.. the said casks would appreciate in value far more than they would if you didn't tokenize in the first place. I've spent the last 5 years attempting to explain tokenization to my boomer parents and everyone I know usually over 25 years old. I almost always get a completely blank stare kind of like when a had to explain what the internet was in the mid 90's most people won't be able to grasp these ideas for another 5-10 years

Sorry I commented as I was listening, I was referring to how the tokenization of a debt/item, can be broken down and purchased in smaller amounts.
Stocks today are derivatives. There is nothing there. IMO. Companies like Apple , Google , Tesla , Coke will all be tokenized in the future. That way people can directly buy , sell , hold their share (token) 24/7 w/o. 3rd party cost , risk , delay.
Hi. My name is Scott and I’m a home builder in Texas. I could be a 100 times bigger if I had access to bank liquidity to build more. After 2008 all banks stopped lending cash. Let’s say I build a house for 750K and that’s the actual cost. I could deed a percentage of the house to clients. Let’s use 100 percent. So at 1% each client would spend 7500. At .25 percent the clients would spend 1875.00. So at 1%, 100 owners. At .25% 400 owners. I could do this now is partnership or it could be easily tokenized. What I would say is that it would be better to buy high value lots, like waterfront because the yields are higher on those properties. Example, I purchased a lot for 250k for 10 acres with amazing view. I built a 5000 sq. Ft. House on the lot for 800k. So with land 1050000.00. It sold for 2.1 million. Good money here. Let’s go. 😅

Divied-up 'Rights' sounds like a night mare of potential conflicts unless limited to $-shares against which one can borrow or sell on a secondary mkt. Actual control of property, its use, sale would require voting with probably some entity controlling 51% of shares.
And does this token or NFT expose the owner to 'joint & several' property liability in the case of criminal-use or accidents?
Btw, there is zero chance you could gain permissions to VR from your courtside basketball seats without crossing copyright law. This is no different than taking in a camera and providing a wireless feed to paying customers in their homes.
Well the important element of this is that there will be comprehensive smart contracts underneath all this. Just as we have legal docs now to set all the rules, the same will exists here.
Regarding the basketball comment. For sure right now it would be a copyright issue, but imagine LA Lakers get a cut of every transaction of the NFTs. They'd be making additional revenue on top of the sale of the season ticket.

Oh man! Nice try to explaining tokenisation. NOT! I try and try to understand this stuff, but it is clear as mud. And what happens to those of us that choose NOT to tokenise? Will we see different groups of people only trading, (buying and selling) their life thru their chosen "media"? Think some of us cash, others credit debt, BTC, thru tokenisation?
