Grandview was a great place to grow up. We lived on Westwood Avenue between First and Third avenues from 1958 to 1968. There were a lot of Italians on our block. Some of them worked at the Marble Cliff quarry, others in construction, barbers, restauranteurs . . . productive, hard-working people. Many of them had large backyard gardens and grape arbors, making their own wine. The demographic has changed over the years, especially since real estate prices have shot up over the years. We live out of town now, but when we're in Columbus we make it a point to have breakfast at Paul's Fifth Avenue in Grandview, which used to be a Frisch's Big Boy in the 1960's.
I grew up in Grandview and this video was fascinating.

I also lived on Westwood. Cornered right across from the knotty pine I was a kid, this was back in early 90s. I also loved on Second Ave.
Love the tri village area troop 261 in Marble cliff, born and raised in UA, and live in Grandview.
My dad caddied at Scioto CC when he was young.
Pat Mooney featured in this was my 5th Grade teacher at St. Timothys.❤
I live outside of Toledo now, but my first 20 years were spent in Grandview. Always proud to be a Bobcat. ❤
Went to school here. Unique little community, definitely has rich history and its own flavor...
@00:47 is that Broadview? The first house up on the hill looks like the former Randazzo residence where a friend of mine grew up. Beautiful home...
