First time watching OGMIOS. He is nice. He lacks aggression but he is still entertaining,I think Real Deal got the first round. OG got the second clearly and slightly edged the third round.
I've been watching battles daily for about 5 years now. I've watched this battle over 10 times and this deserves more views. Classic battle and both were dope.
I love it when a Ogmios battle drops. I dowload it then edit it for his 3 rounds and cut out the swearing then convert his edited round to audio and downloading to my ipod. Then at night I put the ipod in the dock in my kids bedroom and they stop fighting and calm down listen 2 his mystical voice and go to bed happy. NICE
No bad language in the building, Og's last 3 battles got no sweary words, you already got the clean version the only version. Your whole comment NICE. My friend !!
Glenn Woddle The Og connects with some higher aspect of my being that is all, been watching battle rap for way too long, and it feels like I was always waiting for a battler like Ogmios to come along, was a big Tenchoo fan and since he's been away Ogmios has filled that void and then some, bar kung fu like no one else, just an all round heavy battler, artist and human being. Stay reppin the Og man, Peace !!

This battle reminds me of the Illmaculate vs Big K battle... Style clashes that ended up being superb battles with tremendous replay value. Very thankful to Og and Real Deal for putting up a highly entertaining battle and DF for having great atmosphere. Someone made a comment earlier about them ending with a double hug because they were proud of how each other performed. Wish more battles were like that... it doesn't have to be just about who can insult who the dirtiest most disrespectful way.. it can also be about a display of talented wordsmiths and emcees skills and ingenuity and a sharing of the craft. Here this is what I created now show me what you can do.
Og takes all three rounds for me, his presence is completely different to someone like Chris leese' but for some reason that's a bad thing? :s I think his general coolness is a good attribute; he makes people who come with the angry shit look stupid and embarrassing at times and just picks them apart with these sick Buddha-Jedi bars which are genius at times.
ogmios will get slept on cus of his flow, but real talk his writtens are contextually far deeper than any American i've seen battle... fuck the charisma and volume its about the bars.

Probably the 'nicest' battle I've ever watched. Next to no anger from anyone, just relaxing and a very welcome change. I probably couldn't give this to anyone, both did a great job. If I absolutely had to choose I'd go with OG, but that's just because I prefer his style. Keep more coming from OG please!
Fuckin' Amazing battle! The best I've seen in a while. I need a re-watch, because I got distracted by notifications & shit. As of now I give it to Ogmios 2-1. I thought Real Deal was gonna tear him to pieces after the 1st, but those 2nd two rounds from Ogmios were fuckin' mint! I've never liked Ogmios's slow flow, but each time I see him, he gets better & sharper. Those P.E./Chess teacher flips were insane! I swear he keeps to two minutes, but time itself slows down when he spits.

Imho Ogmios' album "The Last Picnic" is extremely intelligent and creative and his music videos are interesting too. I personally think he is one of the more skilled battle rappers making music, on par with the likes of Cruger, Oshea, Bender, Shotty Horror, Loe Pesci, Psychosis Holocaust etc.

The idea with mac was to mot use 1000 mac or ill lines and go from an approach that was never taken. The crowd was rough and the late addition of mics threw a wrench into it. Looking back on it I wouldn't change a bar or an angle. The idea with the native american references was it was new and not used. The idea with the portland demographic is it was new. Some angles hit with crowds and some don't. I will forever be the battler who takes risks though and that wont change.

Never ever took to ogmios style from the start but this was his best performance to date, however for me, Real Deal out performed him, bars & delivery.
Real Deal edged out the first. OGMIOS edged out the second. OGMIOS edged out the third OGMIOS 2-1. For me the second round was the decision maker. OGMIOS had the bars, he didn't make any mistakes or stumbles. And the Whole Steeler Nation (Steal a Nation) concept was dope. Real stumbled twice and his bars were lite despite his strong delivery and the star wars R2D2 line being so good.
Just watched this again and noticed Real Deal had a few slip ups. The narcolepsy bar makes no sense, since narcoleptic people fall asleep easily no matter what. And R2 is not the golden droid. That was C-3PO. Bad nerd bars is somethin he gotta deal with.

I give it 2-1 to Real Deal but these two battlers are perfectly matched. Absolutely love the bars they both come out with, they might not be screaming in each other's face but they don't half bring flow, even with Og's pauses. Great battle.
Real Deal is like one of the few American battlers that fit into the uk scene well. I never cringe at his British disses, compared to most other American's or Canadians that have battled in the UK.
Been many a great Don't Flop International battles over the years, Oshea/Dirtbag, Sensa/Soul Khan, Respek BA/Illmac, Truth/Illmac, Arkiac/Bender, Stowaway/Bowers, Tenchoo/Big Kannon, Shotty/Arsonal to name a few. This battle can hang up there with the best of them, only 3 weeks prep every round is a lesson. A blessed battle aye aye !!
Really depends what you like. RD has way more immediacy whereas Og does couplets where one bar has an intrinsic relation to the next. It would be like Busta vs Killah Priest. Saying that though as we are LISTENING to it rather than reading it off paper the rhythm and delivery style has to be taken into account so i would say Real Deal just edges it.

Real took the 1st, Og took 2 and 3. Real Deal's bars are good, but gay jokes etc. just don't cut it anymore. All of Og's were personal.
