I've described the pros and cons when it comes to Apple TV vs ViewPoint. But whether the differences are worth the $200 price tag, different people will think differently. For me, I cannot tolerate Apple TV.

There is no native browser on Apple TV. Yes there are third party ones, but my understanding is they simply cast from your other devices through airplay.
Web client/browser performance on Pis is hilariously bad IMO with Chrome and Firefox. So it's not surprising that adding multi-stream video results in lolwtf.
I did not have any hope for Pi3 anyway, but the result for Pi4 really caught me unguarded. Still have not figured out the root cause for the poor performance of Pi4.
I run unifi protect via Chromecast on 4 TV simultaneously, with zero lag and the app is pretty good.
Is the view like what I showed in the video for Apple TV? Or is it like what you using web browser based live view?

@@hz777 Ok. Seems like on the Chrome Cast you have to use a 3rd party browser app. So you could do it, but it's not ideal.
I wish someone discovered how to get the firmware from viewport and install on raspberry pi. Or anything

Viewport essentially runs as an ASIC whereas everything else is just using a traditional SoC. ASICs always win.
The Viewport uses an ARM SoC. Making up stuff doesn't make it true.
