That doesn't mean anything. Not to mention no one is pure anything. My mom is caramel skin and my dad is brown skin; I'm dark skin my brother's really dark skin my other brother is between brown and dark skin and my sister is reallyyyyy light skin she looks like a stereotypical non-black latina. So basing off of "color" isn't going to show you much of anything. My sister would be seen as "mixed" by some while someone as dark as my brother would be seen as "pure black" simply because of ignorance based on skin color.

I never spoke any falseness towards anyone's race/culture i simply stated my opinion. And just as lies offend you. People who take being of mixed/black heritage as an INSULT or a bad thing offends me. Albanian people are beautiful i just wish people would give my race the same respect i give to anyone else's. ignorant Americans here, you only know the west European(British settlement), but some east Europeans are darker and it it absolutely common. You only judge by stereotypes. Furthermore, east European are VERY different from the west. We also have a very different culture, mentally and parenting.

Coming from a family of mixed ancestry as well as a very diverse family of people from different ethnicities and a mixed person myself I can tell you she most definitely is mixed somewhere with african blood. Maybe her family denies it or she does but she's in no way shape or form 100% albanian. Regionally or ethnically.

Hun if Rita was mixed I would have zero problem with it. I keep answering everyone because she simply isn't. As I stated elsewhere, a mixed Albanian girl would look like Hueyda El Saied (who is a very respected personality in Albania btw) and Rita just isn't mixed. That's all. I came here to answer peoples' questions and it ended up into all kinds of tangents. I'm not here to say "Oh she's not mixed" if she were, but I know for a fact that she's not and was just trying to clarify. Take care.

I mean I wasn't just coming on here to go on about her race, I came to watch an interview of an artist I like and just happen to also be curious about her background, and it appears a lot of people were already talking about it :P. I have no problem believing shes European. I thought Bruno Mars was part black at first, but hes 1/2 Puerto Rican 1/2 Filipino. Its just their individual looks.

None of her other family members look like her. She is obviously mixed race for two main reasons: 1 her nose and skin tone is different to everyone else in her family. 2. Her hair like most mixed race people (black + whatever) close to her scalp is curly. He mother had her with somebody else and for whatever reason her family have chosen to ignore tjis and treat her as there own. Which is cool but its not fooling anyone.

About the skin, that is called "tanning". South east Europeans in this case "albanians", we have mostly curly hair! I personally have curly scalp. You can be fooled if you want. But to most especially non-whites...it's embarrassingly obvious. You knowing her family means nothing. She has more afro features than some of my mixed race in- laws. Forget what you think you know for a moment, and be objective compare her appearance as a young child to say Leona Lewis for eg. They look equally mixed race. her real last name is Sahatqiu....sahat means "watch" in turkish, which in albanian is translated and means "ora"...thats the origin of the name in the industry....hope this helped :D

actually she doesn't have a middle name and her last name which is Sahatqiu which is Serbian/ Albanian. Sahat in Serbian means watch and then she changed it to ora because Ora means watch, clock, time in Albanian. Albanians adapted the word Sahat when the serbs controlled Kosovo usually only Albanians from Kosovo use or used the word sahat for clock now that we are free we don't use it I personally don't because I know the term now for clock in Albanian which is Ora.

Babe, she is Mediterranean. For a person so well-versed in anthropology you should know that Mediterranean women look like Rita. There are north Europeans and there are South Europeans. Yet, there are plenty of Mediterraneans who are blond and blue-eyed - just like Rita's sister who is green-eyed, pink-toned and light brown haired. Albanians are right in the Mediterranean, across from Italy. No point in labeling people "mixed-breed" when the label is "MEDITERRANEAN".

Ora is not her real last name. It is a synonym for her real name which is "Sahatciu" which means watch/clock/time and ORA in Latin, Italian, AND Albanian means time/watch/clock.
Her face is not black shaped. I.E. A lot of Dutch people have a firm jawline, wide set eyes & short noses but they sure aren't black. It's the styling, tanning and coloring. Watch her with straight hair to see her features more clearly. She looks like a white girl with a tan when her hair is straight.
