I can't remember if it took me two or three hours to finish this boss off. I swear it was the hardest thing I've done. After the huge amount of time and effort you put in just to get to this guy you just don't want to quit when you finally get to him. Lost my damn mind when I finally finished him!
They were raising money for the fight against cancer. I believe over the course of the entire event, they raised something like $150,000. I don't think that's really a waste of time.
One of the hardest final bosses ever. My two cents if you ever want to beat them on the harder difficulties: Get really good at playing the last level and arrive at the final boss HIRUKO with AT LEAST two scrolls(Trying to beat him with any less is a waste of time IMO, because the seal enemies have really wonky hit boxes and you have to dodge a lot of stuff, which is borderline impossible when you're vulnerable and there are a lot of enemies on screen). Wait for the waves of enemies to reach their peak(you can start killing seals when there are at least six seals on screen on the first wave, the following wave triggers them all at one) then trigger the invincibility scroll and concentrate on killing the seals. Two full tates and a few sneak hits should suffice. If you run out of scrolls just forget it, and restart the boss fight(by pressing start and retry before the game over screen appears, so you'll start with the scrolls in your inventory). The scrolls make a huge difference and keep your frustration to a minimum. Worked for me after just a few tries, while I spent literally DAYS on him with just one scroll and no success. Good luck!
i beat this on super mode as a yound guy, and it forever soldified me amongts my boys as a gaming master. they thought ninja gaiden black on master ninja was a challenge. but honestly they were totally different beasts. this video was a lot of fun thanks a lot for the upload guys, for real.
the end boss of this game molded me into the battle hardened gamer i am today
To complete this game, you must find oneness with your controller.
haha brilliant
Mike Uyama is an expert speedrunner on so many games and probably shinobi too. He also is the director of this whole event.

He is a skilled shinobi player and felt that by answering questions for the runner it would allow him to concentrate more on the game.
So does JMan know that Hotsuma's kick breaks the enemies' guard?
This was quite entertaining to watch. The rage

The nerd "humor" is strong with these ones.
What a waste of time.
