According to documentaries about the sport, if they are using them in banger racing, they typically are too far gone. The cages they have in these cars are very strong. When they implode like this, it takes the shock of the impact away from the driver. It is all in the prep work.
Most of the cars are found in scrap yards so are well passed it. The cars that come on track are usually M.O.T failures and have no place on the road. Any spare parts left from the car are often sold to classic car enthusiast to help restore or repair their prized possession.
What are the requirements to be in these races? Own a $500 car and know how to push a gas pedal? I've never seen so many people purposely go straight in a turn LOL
@@MrJr1976 sounds decent, but the goal is to wreck the other ones, not yourself... At least in the best of, there is a lot of ridiculous tactical crash car racing... Probably, the best of crashes does not show, how these competitions work. Here it looks, the best crash will be upvotet by the visitors....
iblockpuncheswithmyface - it doesn’t have to cool the water as they’re short races, tank is below the window aperture but above the engine - engines are pushed back where possible, behind the turrets as much as possible
It's almost like watching Russian dash cam videos 😂😂
That 1974 GM wagon did some damage.
Great video, many thanks!
Thank you
And people say old cars are dangerous/death traps in car crashes! There are some pretty big hits in these races!
Great video thanks for posting it!🏁🏴🏁🏴🏳🚑🚑🐻🐨
Thank you
Sad to see a bunch of classic cars destroyed. They can not be rust buckets to be able to take the abuse they did and still keep going intact.
Just sad,and who knows if they are bought legally.

10:49 quite right when he said "WTF???"
What was the meeting at mildenhall with all the older cars
RIP arena Essex but damn that hit at the end

Maverick_DK1 it’s a last man standing type of deal. Ramming others into the wall is kind of the point

and who is the winner?
Never see any coolant leaks, or steam coming from the front end when they crash. Are the radiators in the back seat?
there`s a steam tank in the engine compartment, behind the block of the engine
Steam tank. How does that work?
iblockpuncheswithmyface - water tank made of steel - water in one side, water out the the other - replace hot water for cold between races

iblockpuncheswithmyface - google ‘banger racing water tank’ plenty of pictures
Can you hit the drivers side door or no
Not deliberately, but door is reinforced with a thick steel plate if you look closely. 👍
When you are being pushed full chat , there ain't much you can do sometimes . But then , shit happens too .
This is how every car should die
