In order to keep our recommendations up to date, we maintain a 'Buyer's Guide' on our Patreon page (with a wide spectrum of models, and a lot of technical and lifestyle-related information). Organizing our recommendations this way makes it easier to include good models that we haven't made review-videos for yet, as well as to remove models which have developed unforeseen wear-issues over time, or which have been weakened by the manufacturer in their current iterations. You can access it here: www.patreon.com/posts/stroller-buyers-37953864 As an independent, consumer-oriented reviewer, we have fewer revenue-streams open to us than the majority of other channels out there, so we do ask for a small donation for access to this guide (as well as a free consultation and access to our other Patreon content). Thanks so much for your help!

I’m a luxury stroller addict and bought the Nuna Mixx Next gently used for about $550. I’ve also owned the Uppababy Vista, Cruz, the Bugaboo Cameleon (my very first stroller with my oldest now 8 year-old), Bee, and most recently the Donkey 3. I would say the Nuna generally holds its own. The upsides for the stroller are the quality of materials and the style. I won’t lie, I feel pretty slick driving it down the street, in the store, or even a little bit off road. The downsides are that the basket isnt quite as big as the Uppababy, that it’s a little heavier and bigger in and out of the car, probably due to its larger back wheels, and that it is only compatible with the Nuna car seat (fine for me, I have that, but that’s something to be aware of if you don’t). Actually, my biggest complaint is the shoulder strap design, which makes it hard to keep the shoulder pads on. Recently, I was pushing my three-year-old around at a park in Florida and ended up losing one of the shoulder pads, probably in the swamp, because I didn’t have her strapped in and it simply slid off the strap without any of us noticing. So frustrating, and $25 to replace! I can’t speak to the longevity because I have only had it a few months now. But I definitely do not regret buying it. That said, I do think $800 is a bit on the high end. It’s probably more reasonably a $600 stroller. I am curious to try the Cruz V2, even though it’s pretty redundant to my Nuna. But, I’ll probably wait another few months until I can acquire a gently used one for less. Hope this real-world experience with the stroller helps!

I have this stroller and two of the things are not correct. So it fits with the joie car seat, not only nuna. Secondly the shoulder padding is impossible to remove by accident because the straps make a closed loop.. even when the baby is not strapped in, so you need to disattach it on purpose to lose it.

I have been watching numerous reviews on your channel, and after long consideration I actually purchased Nuna Mixx Next, and to be honest I did not expect it to be this good.
My child is not a big fan of strollers, he is 18 months and prefers walking, but so far he enjoyed the Mixx Next. For how much it costs I find it extremely good, Joolz/Bugaboo/Emmaljunga are incredibly expensive! The whole baby industry is just a cashgrab from parents, Nuna was half the price, so it is good enough for me, I will keep in mind if the leg rest will actually bother him, but that feature is something parents focus more on, children really don't care. Also I loved that it does not have a bucket seat but actually a proper recline so the child can rest.

There’s no leg support for my 15 month old baby

I have the Nuna Mixx and it is INCREDIBLE. It has great suspension. I carry sometimes more than 50lbs (because of groceries under the basket with my baby inside. I ride over and through snow in -15 degrees outside with more than 20 minute walks. I do not know how you guys came to that conclusion, but my nuna is even second hand and it works wonders!

I even walk uphill and over little pebbles on the street and sidewalks. The nuna pipa is what I pair it with and it covers my baby nicely. Nuna is extremely worth the money.

I must say I bought the Nuna mixx next when it first debuted in late 2020. We ended up getting an uppa baby Cruz v2. The Nuna looks great but is not built great. The wheels are smooth and the fabrics are nice.... and it folds easily but other than that the build is terrible. The seat is shallow. The stroller started squeaking after a walk on gravel, the basket covers the center brake system which means your foot always comes in contact with the basket. The leg rest is a joke. We gave it 5 months of use and returned it... it felt like it wasnt goign to last. Also, Nuna customer service is NIL. They have the worst service based on my own experience dealing with the basket that hangs over the brake. And..... less than 5 months after this stroller came out, they added a magnetic buckle which is “new” and basically left a sour taste in those that have bought the stroller recently but now no longer have the latest model.
We do however, love Nuna car seats but they need to work on their strollers. We have a Nuna pipa rx car seat and Nuna rava. We love both.
Some other cons on the Nuna are lack of accessories which I wish was included in every stroller review: no piggy back board, no snack tray, no rain cover, no bug shield. The only real accessory they have is a cup holder. Accessories really matter when you’re thinking of practical use.

Hi there! Is there any way you could explain a little more about why you weren’t happy with the leg rest? Looking into this pushchair now! Thank you x

    • @orangec0rgi
      @orangec0rgi 3 роки тому +3

The leg rest is very flimsy - it sags in the middle without much weight and only has support on the sides, so as your kid grows, the less support Itll have. It’s best to test this in person as you can compare it to something like uppababy, but basically the leg rest has no structural support between the edges. It’s just fabric. That’s it! And it’s not as deep as the UB leg rest so it will be outgrown faster. Hope that helps!

I have the Nuna Mixx Next, which I purchased brand new and after 9 months using it, I can say that I am disappointed. First the suspension system is supposed to be the selling point but it made the stroller feel too flimsy and my baby was bouncing too much for my liking especially in the newborn stage. Then in the toddler seat, the back positions are not set securely, one doesn’t need to push the handle to change the position which is pretty dangerous in my opinion. All you need is to apply a little bit of strength and the position changes. Last biggest point for me is the foot rest, which provides no real support, it’s just a piece of fabric. All in all, it’s a very pretty pram, the textile feels luxurious but it remains overpriced.

I'm surprised you haven't reviewed the Nuna Tavo Next yet. It's very similar to the Mixx Next but gives up the reversible seat for some other nice features at a better price point. It's a bit lighter with smaller wheels, takes a Pipa without a separate adapter, has better leg support, a magnetic harness buckle, and can be (un)folded with 1 hand. I think you'd probably have similar gripes as the mechanics are largely similar to the Mixx Next, but at a much cheaper price, I think it offers a more compelling value for people set on Nuna who don't mind losing the reversibility. My wife and I are leaning towards the Tavo Next after trying it in a store and feeling it was easy to operate and less flimsy than most of the strollers with adapter connections. We found that even premium brands like Uppababy wiggle quite a bit at the adapter connection points, so getting rid of the adapters entirely is very enticing for us, and the infant car seat at least keeps newborns rear-facing up to a point.
We're kind of torn because the Cruz V2 is on sale now for a similar price to the Tavo Next, and logically, I feel like we should be jumping on that, but we just feel like the Tavo Next suits us better. We prefer Pipa over Mesa, we'd rather not have extra adapters to deal with, we really value the smaller fold of the Tavo Next for our small trunk space, and my wife swears she much prefers the Nuna ride quality, even though I don't have a strong preference. I think we're going to hold out to see if the Tavo Next goes on sale before baby arrives, but I think the likelihood of that is quite low since it's a newer model and there are none on the used market yet.

I'm a nanny and have experience with many strollers. I loved the look of the Nuna but agree that the stroller frame feels flimsy. I especially don't like how wobbly the handle bar is. I found it to be annoying when pushing the stroller. The Uppababy Vista is much sturdier.

Looove our Nuna next but it’s not great for bigger babies (for which we now have two). The seat is tiny and there is no real booty support. Thinking of getting the Demi grow as it compares to the uppababy v2 but has better fabrics and more luxury for baby too. Can you review the Nuna Demo Grow? 🙏💗

Would you recommend the Joolz day 3, Nuna Mixx next or bugaboo fox 2? I have been researching for a stroller that works from birth and on. All terrain wheels and great suspension to handle uneven pavement for daily walks around the neighborhood. Needs to also handle the occasional hike on lightly paved sand/gravel/grass paths. I also live in a snowy area, so it would need to handle ice/slushy conditions.

I've watched a bunch of videos on this particular stroller and you have had the most negative review...... Like really negative. I find it hard to believe there is no bias in this review. I do thank you though for your extremely comical review of the suspension. I have NEVER seen a baby carriage / stroller bounce the way you've thrown that poor stroller around. Dude relax...... nothing bounces around like that. No street or cobble stones will bounce like that. Thank you for you over done dramatic video of "off roading" Just out of curiosity what is a good / recommended stroller?
