We have visited Rauris for many times. It is a small but interesting ski area with very friendly people. Highly recommendable for kids. Apres ski is rather limited. The ski resort Rauriser Hochalmbahnen - Rauris is located in the Raurisertal (Austria, Salzburg (Salzburger Land), Pinzgau). For skiing and snowboarding, there are 32.5 km of slopes and 5 km of ski routes available. 10 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 950 and 2,175 m. The Rauris Hochalmbahnen ski resort in the Rauris Valley is one the most beautiful in the alpine region. The manageable winter sports area offers a variety of slopes providing an exciting slope experience for every skier and snowboarder. The comfortable Gipfel (summit) lift, an 8-person gondola, takes you comfortably and quickly up to 2,175 m elevation. There, in addition to the great view of the mountain scenery, an expansive network of slopes above the treeline awaits you providing you with a feeling of freedom. The new Waldalm lift 10-person cable car lift has been added in the 2016/2017 winter season. The over 2,000 m long lift leads from the mountain station of the Kreuzboden chairlift up to approx. 1,840 m above sea level. You will find a unique powder snow paradise with fantastic slopes facing the northeast. No matter whether professional or beginner, everybody will find something superb in the Rauris Valley.
