  • My 2012 Land Rover Defender 110 XS Utility has developed not one but two oil leaks, so it’s off to the garage again to get them repaired. Will they be expensive problems to fix or did I get lucky this time? Also I’ve had my Defender for two and a half years so I’ve thrown a short Defender ownership update into this vlog on what it’s been like living with a Defender 110 for a couple of years, has it been good or are there any regrets? And equally important for all current and future Defender owners, I’ve found a cheap and effective security upgrade that’s perfect to help protect your Defender against theft.
For deals and discounts on the modifications you see on my Defender and a lot more, please check out our automotive members platform carperk.co.uk and you can kit your own Defender out with loads of the best mods and upgrades whilst making some great savings.

Last time I took a Land Rover in for some work, the independent LR garage gave me an elderly Citroën Xara Picasso as a loan car! 😢

Hey Al, I’m based in Birmingham- do you know any good Land Rover repair garages around there? Thought I’d ask on the off chance as I don’t trust most garages tbh

Hey bud, sorry I don't know of any in that area, good ones are worth travelling for though.

If it’s leaking, it has oil in it.

Hi Al - random one - can you recommend a baby seat for the defender? Mine doesn’t have the Isofix. Did you retrofit an Isofix?

We have a Recaro Monza Nova without isofix, it has good side bolsters and fits nicely in the back seat.
