I remember making one of these when I was a teenager. But I put a strip of ribbon down the bottom of the baggies and zig-zaged down wide and loose so the baggies didn't tear apart.❤ I love your videos. I never miss any.
Hi Julia - I had forgot about these. I made a few a long time ago. They come in handy for lots of things. Thanks for the reminder. I’m sure y’all had a great time. Hope you are enjoying some warm weather. It is very cold here and snowed all day and nite yesterday. Our temps are in the teens with nite temps in single digits. Wind chills are below 0. Not my kind of weather. Hugs 💕🧵❄️
Hi Pam, Several mentioned they had made these years ago -I'm always late to the party-LOL. My daughter's been freezing in Nashville too. Her apartment is telling everyone to keep their faucets running! Luckily it's short lived in your neck of the woods. Have a great week!
@@stitchesbyjulia I just turned my water off yesterday. It has been single digits here for over a week. So ready for some warmer weather. Stay warm! ❄️💕🧵
One thing I’ve actually made before. Mine was just a plain potholder from Dollar Tree, and didn’t have the back pocket, but I love it! It’s great for your purse! I have two more potholders left so this was a nice reminder to make them soon. ❤
Hi Robin! Others mentioned they had done this project- I'm always late to the party LOL. It was a great make & take craft because it only takes 5-10 minutes to make. The ladies really enjoyed it. Have a great week!
Love this project Julia! What brand of plastic baggies did you use? I know the thicker the better for longevity purposes, that's why I am asking. ~~Christy~~
We used the Ziploc brand in the snack size. It would be better with the zipper tops but we couldn’t find the snack size with the zippers. You could cut down the sandwich size but we felt that might get confusing for some of our beginner sewers.
Love this project! 👏👏👏

place a strip of paper on top of baggy stitch line as you sew, paper comes off easily when done.
Great tip!

This is new to me. Thanks! What brand pinking shears do you have? I’ve tried several, but they are so stiff.
These look like Fiskers if I’m not mistaken. The spring loaded scissors look like the same brand. Hope that helps. Happy sewing.🧵 🪡
What type and size bags did you use?
Hi, I'm using the Ziploc snack size.
