NCT U (is a rotational unit. Meaning whoever out of the members fits the song and overall concept of it gets added. It differs with every song. Thats why you saw 5 members in Baggy Jeanns and 9 members here)
NCT 127 (has 9 members)
WayV (has 6 members. Their the Chinese unit)
NCT Dream (7 members, 2 are from 127)
NCT DOJAEJUNG (Members are from 127 but started up their own unit with just the 3 of them Doyoung(DO), Jaehyun(JAE), Jungwoo(JUNG))
NCT Wish (their the youngest members who have recently been formed, their the new Japanese Unit)
This may seem overwhelming but once you know their system gets easier to understand, also their discography is in general really good and very diversed. I recommend you check out a song from each unit. (WayV - On My Youth, NCT 127 - 2 Baddies, NCT Dream - ISTJ, NCT U - Make A wish (it features 7 members from the other units)

Thanks guys!! There's 26 members in NCT. NCT stands for Neo Culture Technology. They're known for being experimental by using different sounds and beats. NCT U is one of their sub-units but is rotational which means the number of members changes depending on who fits the concept. But there's 6 sub-units all together, NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, NCT Dojaejung, and now NCT Wish that debuted this year. Hope that wasn't too confusing. I know it's a lot to take in... And I'll let someone else explain all about the members since I'm not that great at it myself.
Their vocals and choregraphy are on another level. I love watching their dance practices. It shows the hard work, discipline, and dedication, and energy they pit into their craft. But anyway, I recommend one of these songs next. I think you all might like them :)

@@Preludetv I’ll add that it’s so much fun getting into NCT because the different units have completely different vibes yet they all mantain a certain ‘Neo’ concept. It’s fun finding the difference and similarities between the releases from the different units.

NCT 127 SIMON SAYS MV AND DANCE PRACTICE IS A MUSTTTT!
it takes WEEKS for k-pop artist to master their choreographies to the max level during the preparation for comeback time. they train for several hours every day to clean up the formations and their changes, moves themselves and even facial expressions. k-pop choreographies are made by professional choreographers and require quiet a lot of stamina and detalization (and as a former dancer myself i gotta say that it's TOUGH TOUGH). choreos also contain movements from a bunch of different dance styles, which can be especially difficult to perform for those idols who don't have dancing background. synchronization and vocal stability is a hard thing as well. idols have to bring dancing to automation to perform live together cause even if just one person messes up, the whole thing will be screwed. and besides being focused on dancing, they still have to sing and rap LIVE (which is HELLA difficult without proper training of breath techniques) and entertain their audience at the same time. i have a lot of respect towards people in the k-pop industry, honestly. they do a crazy job for real

A little information about NCT.
NCT is a 26 member group from SM entertainment.
NCT meaning NEO CULTURE TECHNOLOGY, the plan was to make more NCT UNIT like NCT AMERICA, AFRICA etc. but it got cancelled and now they're fixed unit.
Important note is the 26 members are separated into 6 units
NCT U - U is stand of UNITED meaning all members of NCT can be part of any NCT U song, they chose the members who fits the best concept.
NCT 127 - the 127 stands for the longitude of Seoul Korea, they have 9 members
NCT DREAM - the (used to be) youngest group of NCT back in 2016 when they debuted the members are all minors aging from 14-17 (1999 to 2002). 7 member group. Important note is 2 members of NCT DREAM are also members of NCT 127
WAYV- the Chinese unit of NCT, 6 member group, mostly sings in English and chinese. The reason they don't have NCT in their name is because 9f the political restrictions between Korea and China
NCT DOJAEJUNG - 3 member unit DOyoung JAEhyun and JUNGwoo. Important note is the 3 members are all from NCT 127
NCT WISH - the newest and youngest unit of NCT, aging from 2002-2007, they're the JAPAN UNIT. 6 member group

NCT dance practices are something serious. In their music NCT is known for pristine R&B. But their dance practices, pure hip hop and extreme energy. They're known for letting members' styles shine thru in the choreo while still being technically sharp. My favorite dance practices i recommend are Glitch Mode--which is NCT Dream, Cherry Bomb, 2 Baddies 1 Porsche, and Ay Yo--which i believe are all NCT 127 ( but someone correct me if I'm wrong).
And a special treat--If you want to react to R&B at it's finest-- please do the studio version of NCT Dream Teddy Bear. You get to watch each member lay their verses on the track in the studio!!

To answer your question -
I'm pretty sure the reason as to why they don't use alot of ground-moves/ breakdancing in most of these,
is mostly because they also have to *sing/rap* while dancing -
which takes alot of breathcontrol on it's own.
So they gotta be aware of how much they exert themselves while dancing to be still able to sing.
Some still do both tho, which is sick 🔥 (B.A.P for example)

The group currently consists of 26 members: Taeyong, Taeil, Johnny, Yuta, Kun, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, WinWin, Jungwoo, Mark, Xiaojun, Hendery, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, YangYang, Chenle, Jisung, Sion, Riku, Yushi, Daeyoung, Ryo and Sakuya. NCT promotes in different sub-units. The current sub-units are NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, NCT DoJaeJung and NCT WISH.
NCT U is the first sub-unit of NCT. NCT U doesn’t have fixed members, meaning the lineup keeps changing for every comeback, depending on who fits the concept of the song etc.
NCT 127 is the second sub-unit of NCT. The sub-unit consists of 10 members: Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan. (Winwin is not part of the current comeback due to a schedule conflict with his activities with WAYV and SM haven't confirmed yet if he's still part of the group or idk.)
NCT DREAM is the 3rd sub-unit of the boy group NCT. The sub-unit consists of 7 members: Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle, Jaemin and Jisung. (They are the youngest sub-unit before because there's a new sub-unit added which is the NCT WISH.)
WAYV is the fourth sub-unit of NCT based in China making WayV the first sub-unit in NCT based out of Korea, under SM Entertainment’s China-exclusive label, Label V. The sub-unit currently consists of 6 members, Kun, Ten, WinWin, XiaoJun, Hendery, and YangYang.
NCT DOJAEJUNG is the fifth and an fix sub unit from NCT (as a whole) who made their debut in 2023. The group consists of Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo. (All of them are also members of NCT 127)
Lastly the newest one, NCT WISH is the 6th unit of NCT. The unit consists of Sion, Riku, Yushi, Daeyoung, Ryo and Sakuya.

NCT is like the whole group/brand and there are official sub units with fixed members like WayV who only sing in mandarin, Dream who used to be all the youngest members and do brighter sounds, 127 the main Korean unit and the very new Wish unit that's Japanese only. some members are in multiple fixed units like Mark and Haechan who are in 127 and Dream. NCT U is the unlimited sub unit where they pair any amount members for one song (the baggy jeans unit are the first returning unit, they were the first NCT members ever performing with the song 7th sense) they also use U to introduce new members before they enter in a fixed unit (jungwoo in boss song before joining 127) usually every year they do one whole group album and performance video (black on black, resonance etc.)

Yep this way is the best I think. Because, you can enjoy both sides. And a lot of details you miss in the music video alone due to the intricate storylines, props, set design, flashy fits/costumes, cinematography, etc. They only show parts of the choregraphy. Haha
