I love Mogan, and am going for all of December. Night times are quiet, definitely no tribute acts, which suits me fine! Maria’s pool bar at 9.00 is for residents of Billy’s apartments and the other apartments belonging to Livvo Hotel at the marina, though you can use the pool if you spend €25 in the restaurant. If you’re still in Puerto Rico, look out for Cristina’s at the front of the main Commercial Centre, just to the left. Well worth finding.
Another fantastic review with a lot of great content. We are currently in Puerto Rico and went yesterday to Mogan for the market and it was like a madhouse really. However after seeing this video we may just pop back as we still have 6 days left. The bus seems a good option too as the boat cost €33 for 2 adults and a child. This time we will look forward to seeing the REAL Mogan so thanks guys for the informative re-visit 👍
@shaunrennalls4194 definitely worth doing just that Shaun. Nice to just spend your time walking a leisurely pace and taking things in. Make sure to stop and have a few drinks round that marina too and along the beach.
I love Mogan, I have been 3 times, once as a teenager in 97 with my parents and it was just an old fashioned port with a few cafes/bars….. then again in 2007 with my partner, it was more modern, but just the harbour and a few new bars etc on the front and behind in the back streets. Then we went back in 2017 and wow……..there’s a beach, a prom, and a load of bars and restaurants……it has just grown and grown and grown over the years 😊 Now pedalos have appeared too 😮
Hi guys I'm currently in Puerto Rico Gran Canaria and went to Mogan on the ferry for the market unfortunately it was to busy and too hot it's a beautiful place but it was to busy but I would like to return like you did at a quieter time but I'm loving puerto rico.
Yeah we did this last time we were there in 2022, which was the main reason for coming back. Wanted to see a non market day, much nicer and far less busy.
@ you have to walk past Marias and round back the ”shipyard” and then the whole pier out :) I am going back next week. Thanks for the restaurant reviews!
Flying from Newcastle on the 16th to peurto rico loving the videos but was wondering if you ever went anfi del mar apperantly it's close to peurto rico
Great stuff is it worth a visit and would you say it was better than amadores beach I never knew Newcastle Airport had a 24 hour greggs perfect for that 6 am gran canaria flight 😂
@@LeeRichardson-r9p I guess it all depends on what your preference is. Amadores is a bigger beach than Mogan. The Greggs is handy at Newcastle when you get home late and are clamming.
Gosh , Mogan is unrecognisable. I was last there in 2004 and there was only 1 hotel it was on the harbour , after the back streets it was just open land and the road tunnel connecting the resort wasn’t even constructed, it’s a shame if it becomes to commercial and built up , spoils the ambiance
I agree I have just posted I have been 3 times 97, 07, 17 and wow in 2017…..there’s a beach, there’s a prom, there are loads of bars/restaurants/hotels all appeared 😮

We will be there in 3 weeks (2nd visit) can’t wait . Well done with the video, it’s the best description and shows mogan exactly how it is 👍

Market day is a nightmare lol. If you just want a peaceful day trip to get some lunch avoid market day at all costs.
You missed the pier fishmarket and the restaurant / bar at the end of the pier , nice coctails and super view. Faro I think its called.
@henrikberglund4175 if we ever get back that way we'll see if we can see it. We probably walked past it a few years back.
