Looks like a nice lake. I find sometimes the bite is on straight up and other times you wait all day for a take. I like to pre bait spots a day before to get them to come in and hold. Nice couple of commons you caught. Cheers!
I first started to fish there with my dad 30+ years ago when it used to be called leggies, before it was bowman's. Used to walk up lowbell lane with our trolleys at 4-5am from colney. Assuming your a colney lad aswell seeing as you know the area well. I had my first ever carp out of that lake 30 years ago then pretty much lived on the complex throughout my teen years, fantastic memories down there with all my mates throughout the years. The river used to be fantastic for chub but there's absolutely nothing in there nowadays unfortunately.
Good angling chris that 25lbr was mint and the smaller one was in mint nick too it certainly gave u a battle royale i think u got the tactics spot on casting 3 out to fish and even though they pushed out u knew there was a good chance they would come back over the area the following day and they did its always tricky in winter and chasing them aint always the one anyway well done fella great video tightlines
