The cups make the most sense where you have them. It's easier to take one cup to the fridge than to carry all the cups to the cabinet away from the dishwasher. And the artwork looks totally fine. You did a good job!

You probably hit a stud. Which is better. It won’t tear the sheet rock. If it doesn’t look level, it could be that your pillows on the couch aren’t square with the bottom of your frame. Also, the picture is stunning. Love it.
Don’t let the picture discourage you. Sometimes doing it with someone the first time makes it easier to learn/remember. And everyone does things differently so you might’ve watched a video from someone doing it a more difficult way than it needs to be. 😃

Same (Sort of). I know how to hang a frame, but I've never done it ever. I feel like you should nail it at 45 deg with the pointy end to the floor.

You should try using drywall anchors for your screws to prevent the nails from being dragged down by the weight. I did it for the first time a few months ago and I promise it's not that scary! Though idk how renter friendly that would be lol

I love your new apartment! I wish I could find one there lol. I put my glasses and plates on the bottom shelf half and half. You could always get a small step for the kitchen like I have. It definitely helps.Also there is a small device on Amazon that helps with hanging pictures.

i'm older than you and also have never hung a picture on the wall by myself mainly because nailing stuff terrifies me 😅 also if you think you will be doing more nailing in the future i would totally recommend a stud detector because it can be useful at times

maybe you can just use command strips for the art! not sure whats happening with the wall and why the nails wont go in, but command strips are so handy, renter friendly, and just easier. dont feel bad about the nails not going in! :)

The thing on the back of the stove, is to probably keep water or food from falling behind it. That's what I would think. You should put the PB2 with your protein powder. It fits better there.
The not-level (?) picture hanging. Have you considered that your apartment might not be level instead?🤨🤔
Don’t let your picture hanging experience ruin your day. You did great. Next time you want to check if your item will be level don’t level the tape because the tape isn’t a “straight edge.” Hold the picture up to the wall and up to the spots where you designated you will be nailing it won’t be in the spot you chose but it will let you if the nail locations are level. Also, you may have hit a stud or if it absolutely won’t budge it could be a metal plate was put there to prevent anyone from hitting a pipe or electrical wire behind the stud. It think it was just a stud. You did a great job and it’s ok to not get it perfect the first time. Ther is always spackle (to fill the holes) and paint to touch up the spot.

You have many other talents, so don't worry about hanging a picture. You know, before my husband came around, I used to put toothpaste on the back hooks and place it against the wall and press so it would leave a mark, and I would know where nails had to be. Then, ❤clean it up afterward with a wet wipe. I think I read that somewhere, and I did it that way for years, and it was just fine. My hubby has more fancy tools, but I have a better eye for height and stuff ... so you see it all works out. ❤😅
