    It looked to me like because the GHD glided so easily, you moved faster exposing the hair to less heat.

    The Revlon is literally the first and only flat iron I've bought and I still use it. However, I have naturally straight, thick hair so I usually curl my hair with a wand and only use the straightener on my bangs. It does the job when I want a sleeker look too and I haven't felt the need to invest in anything better.

    I have a GHD, it was an investment. I love it and cannot go without it. It leaves my hair smooth and silky and shiny. It warms up within seconds and glides through the hair

      Leah Ounsworth what 😂? You pay more for the ghd and less than the revlon one so basically from what your saying is the god would be better ? coz the way you replied to this comment makes no sense to me

    • @simonlonnqvist9492
      @simonlonnqvist9492 5 років тому +4

      @@xavax1189 it makes all the sense. For example, the Ghd has gloss coating and more rounded edges, something that makes it easier to glide it while straightening or curling the hair. The Revlon straightens well and the curling result has some potential. Everything depends on what you need in your everyday life. If you wanna straighten or curl your hair every day, a high end flat iron would be better because of the technology - safe heat settings etc. But if you are only going to straighten or curl your hair every now and then, a cheaper alternative might work better. But usually, as for a lot of things, the higher the price - better quality.

    High 5⃣ to you for continuing to use the $10 flat iron while it's making all of that noise, I would've stopped using it immediately. Although it provided great results the damage isn't worth it. For the price of the ghd I definitely expected way better results. Lol at Andre calling the frizz volume. This was a great video!! 💜 💜

    My first hair straightener was like this, plates were like smooth sandpapper, damaged my hair and couldn't even straighten right. So after that I bought GHD IV styler and been using it for 11 years now, amazing results, some ceramic littple specs got chipped off from plates but see no issues using it still. Was worth the money.

    My flat iron cost me $14.99 at Big Lots before tax with a $5 off coupon. I bought it about three years ago and I only found the exact model on Amazon for $59.99 with great reviews. It's the Conair Infiniti Pro Double Titanium 1in (shiny red model) It still works great, and it does have floating plates, a swivel cord and little nubs to not have to set it down sideways when using. It heats up to 455 but the downsides are it doesn't have temp control, just low, med, and high, and it doesn't have a hinge to keep it closed when stored. The best affordable flat iron brand is Remington imo but I will continue to use this Conair one as long as it works, it's great for curls too.

    Milabu, another excellent video!! While I would never buy a $10 or $250 iron, I think the $10 Revlon iron produced very similar results to the $250 GHD... actually, imo, it did a better job straightening. Of course a $10 iron is not going to have the bells and whistles of a $250 iron and those purchasing one would know that going in. But outcome wise, the Revlon held up well in straightening, curling and longevity. If I were GHD right now, I might be a little embarrassed 😜

    remember... it may look similar at first but the real difference shows in flat irons when you step outside for more than 3 hours and come back. GHD will look almost the same as when you left. cheap ones will look frizzy and loss of 60% of the curls. ESPECIALLY if you live in a humid environment

    Can you believe that very same noise did my Bio Ionic One Pass after just one year of use? I think the cause were the silicone strips it had on the plates; like the Revlon, my hair looked straightened yet it kind of pulled my hair plus the noise...Ufff..!!! Long story short I threw it away..! I did not notice the solicone strips were broken until the second time I used it... Really..?? $160 wasted..!!! Eventually, I decided to buy a flat iron the Babyliss brand for less than $100 and I have to say it works even better. I still got the Bio Ionic 10x Flat Iron in good condition... I really hope it lasts more than the One Pass lasted..!

    REMINGTON has been my favorite brand since I was in hs. I’m 28 lol never trying anything else cuz people always think I have naturally straight hair and I have frizzy wavy to curly thick hair. The one I use now was only 18.99 and it’s probably the best one yet and it’s so smooth with that glaze too 🤣 -keeping in mind they’ve each lasted me wut, like over 7 yrs and I just buy the next bc of the texture that changes over time on it but stay working!!! Highly recommend that brand yo 👌🏼 none have disappointed me!
    -also love you chica you’re the iliest realist 💕 in my top 2 fav people in UA-cam for sure🙌🏼☺️

      chris yurivlogs I have this one currently: Remington S9610 Silk Ceramic Flat Iron, 1-inch, Red (Factory Serviced) www.amazon.com/dp/B00NACTYQQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_lHp1CbE4QMT7Q
      Which I love but the reviews say in that link that some ogs aren’t being sent. I got mine at Ross for $18 tho.

    I love how you include tax. Some don't and yeah, $10 and some change or even $11 or $12 in some places is not that bad. I just get picky because realistically nothing is just under $10 if you don't include tax. Also, I personally hate swivel cords because if I need to set my straightener down for whatever reason it always moves around on me.

    Hello,
    Congratulations for your videos! I normally use a GHD straightener
    (because where I live is the most used brand) and I am thinking of buying the new GHD Platinum, since the others I have a little old, but I would like to know if you would know or somebody, some clone of the Ghd platinum but cheaper , to buy in Europe, because they are veery expensive ..
    Thank you!

    So that’s why my hair gets so frizzy when I use my cheap straightener lol! I didn’t think there was a difference between cheap and expensive straighteners, but apparently there is

    My friend had a cheap set of stylers with no temp control which burnt her hair, I always use ghd's as they are temperature controoled to prevent this happening..

    How do you keep your blonde hair ashy/cool toned!? It always looks gorgeous. I am naturally ashy blonde, but I have balayage, and the lighter dyed blonde pieces always pull golden/yellow. I have purple shampoo, maybe I don’t use it often enough?

    I used that same Revlon for almost 10 years. I never noticed any damage and the Revlon itself is near-indestructible. I splurged recently and bought a newer fancier flat iron. I don't care for it as much as the Revlon.

    Why straighten the ends after curling? Could just stop before you hit the end less damage

    • @Milabuco
      @Milabuco  5 років тому

      Sometimes you may want to style the ends, so they don’t look frizzy. :)
