    I did this hair 10 years ago watching your tutorial for a meeting which turning out to be our first date. We're still together and he keeps requesting me to do the hair like I did first time we met. So this video is special to me ❤️

    I just tried this style, and it was the simplest, quickest and very elegant up-do for my fine hair. Surprising as I am normally too clumsy to do anything nice with my hair. Thank you!

    • @edennis8578
      @edennis8578 4 роки тому +3

      Why? After you practice a couple of times, you should be able to do it in a minute. Comb your hair, then smooth it back like you're going to make a low ponytail. Twist while slightly pulling up. bring the end down and tuck it in, forming the roll. Pin with bobby pins. It becomes second nature after you get the hang of it. Or get a gadget at Walmart that does most of the work for you. I do the manual technique in less than a minute, but I also bought 2 different gadgets that help you make a French twist without needing so many pins.

    A 3 way rear view mirror can be made from 3 mirrors joined together with hinges which would make arranging these updos alot easier by freeing up both hands. I've had a 3 way mirror in my bathroom for 45 years and would be lost without it.
    I love these classy updos which make more sense than going for a cut every 6 weeks or so. Beautiful work!

    I can never tease my hair, it literally won't stay in that backcombed position. In addition I've never managed to make bobby-pins stay in my hair. They always slide out (and putting hairspray on them only makes them gross and sticky, but doesn't keep them in my hair). Apart from that I love the french twist! =)

    • @missmodle
      @missmodle 9 років тому +1

      Hair spray the bobby pins before putting them into your hair. And for the back combing issues, spray before you tease

    My hair seems too thick for this hairstyle, when I try to pin it, the bobby pins just slide right out, or the don't secure to both the hair in the twist and the scalp. . . Does anyone have any advice regarding how to help them be properly secured? 😊

    • @firstnamelastname6016
      @firstnamelastname6016 6 років тому +2

      Panda Princess you could maybe try to twist the bobby pin as you insert it, I don't know if it makes any sense though...
      You could also go for a different type of hairpin, maybe a barrette? No one will be able to see it
