I love to imagine if Exe was in the sonic universe, he and his minions would just be a bunch of hot-headed dorks tryna be better versions of Sonic and Friends and failing while still having powers anyway.
So essentially, an edgy other world version of Sonic N' Gang? I'd like to contribute to that by making eggman some normal guy who thinks the laws of earth apply in the sonicverse.
this how i honestly expect the "sonic vs sonic.exe" shit to happen Sonic is gonna run circles around them, and taunt them because of so sonic killed several gods, and just because this one looks like him its not gonna stop him not as if it stopped him before

Jokes aside it’d be cool to see sonic.exe as a canon villain in the actual sonic universe, but done in a better way than what we actually have. The whole faker sonic has been done with shadow before, but I feel like an actual evil lookalike to sonic could make a good plot point if done right.
If this was the original sonic exe. Maybe the story may be that exe would be interacting with the gang, just like a regular fan, a little more enthusiastic of meeting sonic than other person. But then, it could suddenly enter a discussion over what exe has been doing to " his friends " in their own universe. And they could have decided that a singing contest would be better than an actual fight. And for the final moments, probably exe would have been disappointed on he's favorite hero / person, who has been making fun of him the whole time. Probably ending in exe going home and crying for it because. He's a fanboy, and having sonic making fun of him would make his day and existence miserable, and only then, he would have a reason to cry blood (?
