I don't normally play racing games, haven't played one since Burnout Paradise, but goddamn did the devs onow what they were doing with the intro to FH5. I was instantly hooked.

I noticed that, some open world racing games like NFS Heat and The Crew 2 really trying their best to mimic Forza Horizon series and yet they no match with the real og.
It was not coincidence this song is in FH5, this was catered to it....I mean this is so uncanny that it almost feels created for just that one race , with that sense of speed and thrill....awesome stuff.
This song instantly gives me nostalgia and gets me all tingly inside, similar to the feeling i get from listening to the Arkells & k.flay song, which happened to be the first trailer song i've heard for this game. This song i've first heard from a snippet of the intro for FH5, and it certainly gave me a party/rave vibe which not only fits the game perfectly but also got me even more excited for it's release! 😻

XS is not just rock, could include indie and alternative as well but yes i'd agree the song is out of place for that radio station. Probably threw it in for that intro sequence because it fits well. But outside of that 1 scenario which you only play through ONCE, the song is simply worthless, commerical-like and so it gets boring quickly.
I love how it perfectly joins with the jumps and landings. The song Route 174 that plays when you drop out with the mercedes amg project one is goated tho its my favorite for sure but this one is fire too
