Wonderful video very informative keep them coming I was hoping to see the progress on the new site you’re doing an excellent job with them the weather is finally cooperating here in ny going full steam ahead planting and cutting hay getting behind thanks to Mother Nature god bless
Thank you! We could sure use some rain over here. The new grain dryer got built last week and the video should be up this week sometime. Thanks for watching!
Hello. I’m an electrical contractor in North Texas. Did a couple grain bin job’s several years ago. I’m anxious to see how the new technology works on one now. Great video. 👍🏻🇺🇸👍🏻🇺🇸👍🏻
It will be nice when it’s done! I know exactly where you delivered wheat to. We are about 30 miles from there, used to deliver all our wheat to them when we grew it.
Best of luck with the expansion project. I'm not a farmer so I hope this isn't a dumb question but will you also be adding a truck scale? I've seen a few other farms add them with their expansion projects. 👍
Not a dumb question at all, I love when people ask questions on here that’s part of why I started the channel. We are not adding a scale on this project. I can see where they have their place on farms but for our operation the need just isn’t there…yet.
Will your big bin have a couple gravity dumps on it for direct loading to the trucks? Will the dumps have separate drags or a common one for both dumps? Thanks. Sure you guys will love the new set up!
The big bin will have 1 gravity spout off the side and then it will have a center sump at the bottom to pull the rest of the corn out. The pits will be totally separate from each other, each having their own auger going to the elevator leg. The reason for that is if one were to fail we can still dump corn thru the other.
Sounds good, detoured on way home from work and saw they had bin pad done. Gonna make Doug climb that leg when it’s done? Might be able to see the lake from there!😂
Yes the bin pad is done and getting ready to pour pads for the dryer, wet bin, and legs. I doubt very much if Doug sees the top of the leg, heights aren’t his thing.

Great stuff man, hope you get the rains timely and put those new bins to good use!
I hope so as well! Thank you for watching!

I’m sure learning a lot about what goes into an expansion like this! There’s a lot of technology built into everything now.
How many bushels of storage is the old site? Compared to the new site. Can't wait to see the progress.
The old system is around 200,000 bushels and the new bin will hold 225,000 bushels so we are basically doubling our storage.
@@SchultzFamilyFarms That's awesome. I always love seeing farms progress.
Your going to be spoiled with that new setup. Very nice ! I used to truck wheat out to Dowagiac. You anywhere near there ?
