Hey there, I did this, on my 65 coupe, several years ago. I used two, Bussman brand 6 circuit fuse blocks, as I had a whole bunch of additional inline fused items, I wanted to tidy up in the upgrade.. The independent circuit power in/load out block is awesome 😎!!! I wound up still having that independently powered dash light 2.5 amp as separate inline fused afterwards. Your job just nails this upgrade perfectly.. And, is easily expandable to anybody's Ford, with this setup.. I added wire length, and fabbed a metal plate to mount them on, and the signal flasher, as well as a electronic fuel pump relay, (that's tach signal triggered). It slides up behind the fresh air box, sits on a homemade bracket. So it's easily removable, with just enough wire have decent access, while kneeling down in the footwell. Kudos brother, for a really well engineered solution here !!!! God bless...
thanks for the vid, I am doing this to my 67 and keep coming back to this vid to make sure everything is right. I am also adding 2 ignition and battery fuse blocks on other side of tranny tunnel under dash to run stuff like electric antenna and gauge lights and tach light etc etc I subbed and liked.
Appreciate it. I added 2 fuse blocks as well and put them in the trunk. Check out my Big 3 upgrade video that showed this. ua-cam.com/video/WgSs0gAcPzo/v-deo.html
Great posting Michael! I have a 66 F100 that I have been needing to do this to (glass fuse panel is kaput) - you got this done in less than 30 min - with explaining everything... I should be able to knock mine out in 15 min!! LOL! great explanations and suggestions!
@@michaelanthonyaquino thanks for fast reply! Gonna be using your video to do my 66 coupe this week, cheers and thanks for the detailed and informative video
Is this a split fuse block? I’ve been wanting to do this my 61 has only two main fuses and the others feed off the ignition circuit. Problem I have is I believe the fuses that came with it isn’t the same amps that originally came with the truck so I have to determine everything on the circuit.
It's independently circuited, so you can set it up for either hot all the time, switched, or both. I did add 12 hot and 12 switched blocks in the trunk.
Great video. I'd like to do this to my '75 f100. I see the same fuse blocks have diagrams for attaching battery "pos" to top and "neg" to bottom. I'm guessing that's for boats etc? no need to do that with the Constant power to top fuse? as per ford wiring diagram?
Thats a different type of fuse block if you want a hot coming in and several fused circuits going out (I did this with two blocks in my trunk). The fuse block in this video is for independent circuits...hots coming in on the left, a fuse, then hot back out on the right.
Well done. I've been looking for a vid like this. I want to do this to my 67 Mustang. I believe wiring and fuse box are identical but in different places. Everything working?
Hello Michael! I have a 67 Mustang, can your unit apply to my 67? I upgraded my Altenator to 110 amp single wire Last year and would like more options to add things to fuse box. Looks about the same as my old one in there. Thanks for any input. Thanks for sharing this Gem of a video!! Cheers from Motown/Dearborn.
Yes it should be fine...though I would run a separate distribution and fuse box if you plan to add additional accessories. Watch the Big 3 Upgrade video I have which talks about this.
@@michaelanthonyaquino Thank you very much Michael. Wont be adding anymore. I have my fans on relays, along with my Gt fog lights on relays, no issues with new 110 amp 1 wire Ford Alt. I just dont trust that old fuse box and only possibly need an extra 12 volt Ign source. Appreciate it brother!
Great job. I used your video to complete the fuse block replacement today. You are very thorough and organized, BRAVO!
Appreciate it. Glad it helped.
Well done. At the very end I'd just show that everything still works :D

Thanks so much for taking the time to show this FYI upgrade, I've been wanting to do this to my 69 Mustang forever.
Great video and clarity of instructions.
Thank you!
Great post and gave me an idea I was not even thinking about until I saw your post. I used your links you provided. Thanks again.

15 min is definitely doable...its super easy. Just be sure to label the wires before cutting.
AWESOME UPDATE, GOOD JOB ON MAKING IT EASY. MY 65 HAS AN OLD BLOCK, HARD TO CLEAN TERMINALS. THANKS.
Wow this is fantastic! this is on my to do list for my 66
Super easy to do and works great.
I did the same thing but I extended the fuse box to the glove box you did a nice job thanks for your video
Awesome work , I need to do this to my 1970 mustang
Appreciate it.
Thanks! This is so useful!
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent tutorial!
Thank you!
Just did this as well. Great tutorial.
Good job!
Appreciate it.
Love your methods.
Appreciate it.
Thanks for posting this, really interesting and helpful. Will be doing similar with mine
Used this on my 1980 Triumph Spitfire. Easy there because the fuse panel was already by the firewall and easily accessible.
exelente video
Great video!!! Any chance you could share the spreadsheet you used for planning everything out? Or maybe an image?
send me an email and i will respond back with a pdf.
Awesome video, could you share PDF of spreadsheet?
Of course. Send me an email and I'll reply back with it.
Did you mention putting the terminal jumpers on the fuse box in the video? The ones listed in description
Yes I jumped the bottom 3 fuses on the left side.

Just emailed it to you.

Hi, I bought the m8 5/16 connectors but it didnt fit the fuse box. I’ll order some m6 1/4 . Hopefully it will work
I am pretty sure I used #10's...not sure why it was linked to 5/16.

Do you know if the wires/colors are the same on a 69 Mustang? Would like a copy of the spreadsheet if possible.
not sure if the wire colors are the same. send me an email for the spreadsheet.
Any idea if this would work for an inline six, Im assuming it’s pretty much the same wiring
Yes
