      @@JaeTheDev I landed up buying this display. I was toying with the idea of getting the F9 version (with the fan passthrough) but this looked like more than enough and seemed more integrated than sitting on top of the dash. Are you still going to (or already are using) use this display in you 24 MYP?

      Haven’t installed yet, but the screen you’re talking abouts style is a fave of mine. I love the more integrated look as well.

    I just installed mine. I can see i have a newer update. Does yours have continuous blind spot detection with the new update? I saw a video that different branded version of this T8 had it from a new update. This way i dont have to turn on the blinkers to get a blind spot warning

    I just bought and installed the T8 Pro and the installation was really quite easy! I do have a question for you… the readout shows 105mi / 26553 mi in your video. Do you know what the 26553 number is ?

    • @JaeTheDev
      @JaeTheDev  4 місяці тому

      Its the odometer. Total miles driven on the given vehicle.

    Thanks. Was the original the 6.8? How does the height compare (e.g. airflow blockage)?

    • @JaeTheDev
      @JaeTheDev  4 місяці тому +1

      The prior model had better air flow as it was smaller. This one isn’t bad at all though.

      @@JaeTheDev Thanks. Always trade-offs. If you want a front camera & CarPlay you have to get a display in this size range. I think my first choice would be steering wheel mounted ultra-mini w/ turn signals/blind-spot, speed, & auto-pilot nag. That all could fit. I don't believe this exists. Actually my 1st choice would be a real windshield HUD w/ the projector integrated into the dash.

    I don't own a Model 3, but am thinking of buying one. I currently have Android Auto and would prefer to use that. Do you play audio using an Android Auto app and then through the car's stereo or do you use the car stereo's Bluetooth or something else?

      Tesla's have their own built-in Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, etc apps for music within their UI.

    better this or the one attached to the dashboard? Can you review that also?

      Depends on preference, but I like this one as it seems more OEM. I will be reviewing the new dash model in a week or so.

    Will this hurt the headlight to change color. I was told by a tesla tech it does. Is this true from your experience.

    • @JaeTheDev
      @JaeTheDev  6 місяців тому

      Apologies, but I dont understand the question. No mod or accessory will ever change the color of your headlights, except changing the headlight or the light within it. Again, apologies if this isnt your question, and if not, please clarify a bit for me.

      @@JaeTheDev thanks for the replied, my question is that tesla tech told me that if i used aftermarket cluster that it would draw juice to the cluster and less juice to the headlight and headlight will change color from white to blue.
