    Asking $300 and walking away at $290 is wild

      Most of the guys at the shows setting up are just Flippers like Sam so they should know better. People overvalue cards also especially cards they are heavily invested in.

      Seller was grumpy from the start, I think Sam would have paid 300 to a friend or return business person. The guys attitude I would have stayed firm at 290 as well.

    19:35 just curious what your plan is with the bijan? Hope it goes up? I know you must be into it for over current market value because if a 9 did $89 and he’s offering you $80 that seems pretty fair to me.

    • @SamRothstein
      @SamRothstein  11 місяців тому

      A 9 didn’t do $89, not sure where that number came from. Raw was doing from $110-$130

    Detroit will be forced to trade Cade or he’ll leave them high & dry like KD did OKC

    • @SamRothstein
      @SamRothstein  11 місяців тому

      KD, Russ, and James were winning a lot of games year 3. Cade hasn’t proven he can win or stay healthy. Not a bad thing to trade him IMO

    That guy with the Jerry Rice kaboom is what’s wrong with this hobby. He don’t tell you what he’s offered and then walks for $10 lol

    • @SamRothstein
      @SamRothstein  11 місяців тому

      I didn’t have a problem with it to be honest. It was probably a mistake for him to walk away, because if he comes back I know it’s the best offer he’s gotten and can lower my offer

  • @Mastermind_Sports

    I honestly don’t get how you can make money buying at 80-85%. I have lots of lower end 10-30 range and it’s hard to sell at 70% comp. Is the demand for mid higher-end cards so high that those cards are liquid?

    • @wylieglantz9555
      @wylieglantz9555 11 місяців тому +1

      75-83% you can definitely flip it if you wanted but you have to buy the right stuff, smaller market for 10-50$ cards

    • @SamRothstein
      @SamRothstein  11 місяців тому +1

      Anything under $50, it’s hard to put a percentage on. People buy that stuff in bulk for 50% or less. I try to find $5 cards for $2, for example

      @@mccartycards I still think there should be stickers, and frankly, what I am in something is pretty irrelevant if it is a high velocity card. Most people are educated now that they won't pay over market, and most want to pay under market

You weren't sitting at my table, so I'm pretty sure you didn't know what was walking up to me. You are more than welcome to buy thousands of dollars worth of Cade Cunningham and Lamelo Ball if you'd like, or the Luka Contenders that was offered to me at $5000 that sells for under $2000. You are also welcome to "cash out a kid's collection" for "content". You are more than welcome to create content that YOU want to see. I'll make content that I want to make.
