Most of the guys at the shows setting up are just Flippers like Sam so they should know better. People overvalue cards also especially cards they are heavily invested in.
Seller was grumpy from the start, I think Sam would have paid 300 to a friend or return business person. The guys attitude I would have stayed firm at 290 as well.
@@bonfirebreaks9502 Just been really busy with my job and things at home. I’ve got some footage that has been sitting for a bit so hopefully I have something out soon. Appreciate it!
19:35 just curious what your plan is with the bijan? Hope it goes up? I know you must be into it for over current market value because if a 9 did $89 and he’s offering you $80 that seems pretty fair to me.
Made plenty of deals in that range on this day. Will never fault people for passing, but transaction fees are a part of the hobby whether people realize it or not
I didn’t have a problem with it to be honest. It was probably a mistake for him to walk away, because if he comes back I know it’s the best offer he’s gotten and can lower my offer
I honestly don’t get how you can make money buying at 80-85%. I have lots of lower end 10-30 range and it’s hard to sell at 70% comp. Is the demand for mid higher-end cards so high that those cards are liquid?
@@mccartycards I still think there should be stickers, and frankly, what I am in something is pretty irrelevant if it is a high velocity card. Most people are educated now that they won't pay over market, and most want to pay under market
All I hear is , “ PASS” “PASS” & “PASS” & “ I’m scared to buy anything over 1k” All these low dollar purchases , might as well go through the nephews collection
.. not really if we are being honest. I know these are my opinions but I want to see you purchase for your Pc & show other cards out there at card shows besides the one angle dealer side .

@@michaelechevarria13 I'm not sure why you think I'm scared to buy, I spent over $2000 at the show. You weren't sitting at my table, so I'm pretty sure you didn't know what was walking up to me. You are more than welcome to buy thousands of dollars worth of Cade Cunningham and Lamelo Ball if you'd like, or the Luka Contenders that was offered to me at $5000 that sells for under $2000. You are also welcome to "cash out a kid's collection" for "content". You are more than welcome to create content that YOU want to see. I'll make content that I want to make.
Asking $300 and walking away at $290 is wild
There is always a tipping point one way or the other

Just taking a little break. Been busy with life!

A 9 didn’t do $89, not sure where that number came from. Raw was doing from $110-$130
Guy made that comp up. Only PSA 9 sales in the last month are 140 and 137.
Love watching your card show videos! Great video.
Appreciate it, thanks!
Do you ever travel to the bigger shows? Dallas, Culture collision? Or just do local shows?
Mostly local. I work on weekends so it makes it hard to get out of town
I love your content. Tremendous, informative, and clean. Well done as always sir. One of these days we will cross paths. haha
Thank you very much brother. Yes I hope so
Great video as always Sam
Thanks bud
Passed on Ohtani! Great video! Looks like a very busy show!
It was very busy!
"I typically pay 70-80%"....seller runs. Tough as a dealer these days.
Made plenty of deals in that range on this day. Will never fault people for passing, but transaction fees are a part of the hobby whether people realize it or not
Detroit will be forced to trade Cade or he’ll leave them high & dry like KD did OKC
KD, Russ, and James were winning a lot of games year 3. Cade hasn’t proven he can win or stay healthy. Not a bad thing to trade him IMO
That guy with the Jerry Rice kaboom is what’s wrong with this hobby. He don’t tell you what he’s offered and then walks for $10 lol

Are you Roth cards??
No

75-83% you can definitely flip it if you wanted but you have to buy the right stuff, smaller market for 10-50$ cards
Anything under $50, it’s hard to put a percentage on. People buy that stuff in bulk for 50% or less. I try to find $5 cards for $2, for example
Enjoy watching these people walk up to your table expecting you to pay them seller's rates on their cards 😖
One thing I’m certain of is that will never change
What up Sam… another great video
Hey, thanks!
Buyers must be pricing cards way too high or I’m not a good enough negotiator bc I’m not getting a $625 sticker price deal @ $400 🤣
I get $625 cards for $610 😂😂😂
Have to learn how to anchor. Basically resetting expectations to a reasonable level. Sticker prices are often not reasonable
@@SamRothstein honestly I stopped pricing my cards....just know the number I'm in each one.
