Beautiful song. Jesus was the divine unmanifested source, manifested in the world. This song is such a powerful message. Our purpose in the world is to give love. Our true nature is pure selflessness. This is a truth that turns the world on its head. This is the truth that sets us free. Amazing.
If you are listening to this, wondering if there is a God- He is real. He is complete love and He wants to know you. Look for Him and you'll easily find Him
A new commandment I give unto you, That you love one another as I have loved you, That you love one another as I have loved you. By this shall all know that you are My disciples, if you have love one for another. By this shall all know that you are My disciples, if you have love one for another. Repeat twice
Beautifully done but I have to say i didn't care for the "all know" part instead of "all men" part. Church hymns should be above PC right-think language.
Anyone know who holds the copyright/where I can report use of this? I've heard it's by Roy Crabtree (but can't get an awful lot of agreement on that) but I can't even find out when he wrote it, when he was born, if he's alive, what else he's done, whether he sold the rights...

@@ChristianSelect No, I don't have issues with the content, I'm literally just trying to find out if anyone here knows how *I* can license this song to use at my parish. If someone else has issues with it I'd like to hear from them, I suppose, as they likely know what I'm trying to find out...
@@isaacreefman8915 Hello. Has you found the owner of copyright of this song ? Some people said that the song is actually anomymous. The author and composer may compose this song for worship to Jesus Christ, and hopely no copyright needed. I think it is better to put Roy Crabtree as author / composer. Yamuger (Indonesian Institute For Sacred Music) has translate this song to Bahasa Indonesia, and hopely many churches will sing this song in Bahasa Indonesia. Indonesia has 270 millions people, and 29.1 millions is Christians / catholic. We will sing it in Bahasa Indonesia and plan to distribute to spotify / itunes etc. Hopely many people in Indonesia will sing the song. If no further information, I will proceed distributed the Indonesia version to Spotify/Itunes etc.
Indeed it was in 1974/75 that Roy Crabtree wrote this chorus at Bryn Goleu Fellowship, Llanfairfechan, North Wales. He is my father, now aged 94 and still playing his beloved piano. The original tempo was slower than this version and the original version was "by this shall all men know that you are my disciples" .
I am leading worship in our church next Sunday and I have chosen this hymn to immediately follow my sermon on God's love.

In my church we always sing this before the sermon
Thank you for this song of love ,and hope, in this dark time. We all need to embrace His love and share it with others.

It’s a really beautiful song, but I wish you had it from word to word from the Bible. I’m talking about the KJV

It’s funny that churches are sausage fests funded by women.
