@@dawhoda1 a big section of the car audio scene is guys in their 40s-60s who have been into since the 70s and 80s when things were really starting to get going. A lot of guys who got out of the scene reach a point in life where they have extra time and money and are getting back into it. Most of the biggest setups I see are owned by guys over 50. Young guys tend to get a cheap Skar or Power Acoustik sub, toss it in a prefab, and push it with a cheap amp before eventually getting into designing and building their own enclosures and trying out 6th order, t-lines, and other more advanced setups. If you look on channels like Jacob Viral you get an idea of the demographics of the hobby. he covers a different build everyday and just gets demos from everyone willing to at shows. from the little build for under $300 to builds that cost 10s of thousands of dollars. 1 video a day, everyday. I had got out of the scene around 2005 or so and raised my kids. They're grown now and I find myself with a lot more free time and a lower cost of living along with a higher wage and am taking time out to enjoy life while I still have it. There are a lot of guys coming back in the same situation. Work and responsibility has a way of monopolizing your time through your late 20s and 30s.
